In 5 groups, please take 10 minutes per station to discuss specific instances where you notice particular aesthetic effects.

Please make sure the best of your conversations and examples find their way into your notes.

1. Narrative Point of View: identify five instances where the manner of telling the story is impacting your understanding of the story

2. Imagery: identify five specific instances of description that you found memorable

3. Plot: identify five instances where an event seems to have a specific impact on the story

4. Irony: identify five instances where you detect dramatic irony

5. Dialogue: focusing upon one character, identify five distinctive instances of their speech
