Before 22-10-2016 all the teaching posts were left vacant since long
including that of Principal; except one Assistant Professor, Dr. L.K. Boudha, Dr. B.K.
Ahirwar. Dr. L.K. Boudha was assigned duty of the Principal -in -charge of the
College. All the key activities are governed by the peers of the University and by
the Officers at the Mantralya and Sanchalnalya at Bhopal head office, the
Government Higher Education department which includes deployment of Five
Assistant Professors/Professors from Gwalior to this college on date 22-10-2016
followed by transfer orders of the same deployed persons on date 5-12-2016
leading to a large number of court cases filed at the Hon’ble High Courts of
Gwalior and by the mid of July 2017 five out of these Five were returned back to
Gwalior again replacing them with two new ones and subsequently one of them
were again returned back to Gwalior in current month i.e. Feb. 2018 and the
fulfillment of vacant posts through the ‘ Amantran of Atithi vidwans ‘ midst of
‘fallen out cases’ continued due to calls first by the Government list and later by
the Hon’ble High Courts orders meanwhile admissions in under graduate
courses of first year and semester third and fifth of both B.A. and B.Sc. courses
resulted into total of 504 admissions in 2017-2018 whereas the total admissions in
the preceding session were only 292 indicating massive increase in enrollment.
1.2 this college continue affiliated to the Jiwaji University Gwalior for the degrees
of our students certified recognized.
1.3 Student’s Union Election was an important activity in this session 2017-2018
whereas there was no such activity in the session 2016-2017.
2. VISION AND MISSION OF THIS COLLEGE:
2.1 VISION
TO BE A COLLEGEWITH NATIONAL FIDELITY AND MODERN FACILITIESTHAT CONTINUES TO PRODUCE MARKED GRADUATE DISCIPLESWHO CAN ADDRESS THE CHALLENGEOF INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENTTO SUSTAIN THE NATIONAL INCREDIBILITY.
Thus, the Government Gandhi College Balaji-Mihona will set the standard for arts,commerce and sciences education befitting in the contemporary world as alignedwith the vision of the peers of the department of higher education Madhya PradeshGovernment who are committed to creating and sustaining the conditions that enablethe students to experience an unparallel educational journey that is intellectually,socially and personally transformative and is for overall goodwill.
2.2 MISSIONTO ACQUIRE STATE ACCLAIMED AND CLASSIC MODERN STATUSIN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS.TO ACQUIRE GRADE A STATUS IN THE COUNTRYIN THE NEXT THREE YEARS.TO PRODUCE GRADUATE DISCIPLES OF MARK POTENTIALRIGHT FROM THIS YEAR.
The mission of the Government Gandhi College Balaji-Mihona is to educate thecitizens for our society. We do this through our commitment to the transformativepower of arts and sciences education as per the undergraduate level syllabus blend
with the every-day ‘new-directions’ of peers of Government Higher EducationDepartment Bhopal and the authorities of the Jiwaji University, Gwalior M. P.Beginning in the classroom with exposure to new ideas students embark on ajourney of intellectual transformation. From this we hope that the students will beginto fashion their lives and learn how they can best serve the society overall.

resulted into setting up of some priorities for the development of the institution.
