NEW PILGRIM PATH (www.newpilgrimpath.ie) is inspired by Pope Francis’s enthusiasm for the internet. He urges Christian to “walk the streets of the digital highways in order to dialogue with people today and to help them encounter Christ”. Each week they feature a website which may be of interest to fellow Christians. When you lose someone you love, Your life becomes strange, The ground beneath you gets fragile, Your thoughts make your eyes unsure; And some dead echo drags your voice down Where words have no confidence. Your heart has grown heavy with loss; And though this loss has wounded others too, No one knows what has been taken from you When the silence of absence deepens. These are the opening lines of John O'Donohue's haunting poem, "For Grief". November is the month of remembrance for the dead. A short, guided reflection on this poem is presented by the superb Jesuit web-site, Pray As You Go.
