Sunday, October 14, 2018 7:30 AM-11 PM

Join the fun in Wellsboro, PA where you’ll enjoy panoramic views from above the PA Grand Canyon plus horse-drawn covered wagon ride into the gorge. After a short restroom stop on the way, we will begin our day with a delicious brunch at the Penn Wells Restaurant featuring a waffle bar, eggs benedict, French toast and much more plus a variety of lunch favorites. Then, take a short walking tour of downtown Wellsboro, where you will feel like you have stepped back in time while viewing the beautiful well-kept homes, and the distinctive gaslights which line main street, followed by a driving tour through the local area. After the tour, we will make our way to the PA Grand Canyon Overlook and Visitors Center. Pine Creek Gorge, otherwise known as the “Grand Canyon PA”, is a classic example of a canyon cut during the Ice Age, primarily the result of water overflowing a former glacier lake. The canyon meanders through a vast wilderness landscape of breathtaking beauty and unparallel views ablaze with the vibrant colors of autumn. The visitor’s center will provide a look back at the formation of the gorge through an introductory video and exhibits. Now, it’s time to take a closer look at the canyon with a 2-hour long covered wagon ride into the Upper Gorge along the Pine Creek. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. Following our covered wagon ride, we will depart for home with a dinner stop along the way at your own expense.

Package Includes: Brunch at Penn Wells Restaurant, Step-On Guide, Short Walking Tour of Wellsboro, PA Grand Canyon Overlook & Visitors Center, Covered Wagon Ride & Transportation. Trip will depart from the Harrisburg Mall, 3501 Paxton Street, at Pole #32 (Indicated with a Wolf’s Bus sign).
