REGISTER EARLY Watching a good activity die is painful. There is a point when, if there are not enough registrants, an activity is cancelled. Please help avoid the cancellation of programs by registering at least 7 days prior to the start date.

REGISTER FOR AN ACTIVITY: To register for an activity click on “Register” on the left side or top of the page. Note: If you have registered with us in the past, please enter the email you had on your account and click “I forgot or don’t know my password.” A temporary password will be emailed to that address immediately. Once you are logged in, click “Account” at the top of the page to review and edit your account information. In case you do not get an e-mail immediately (after 5 to 10 minutes) please call 920-793-5592 for assistance. Office hours are: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday-Friday.

PROGRAM FEES Most programs/classes have different fees for residents and non-residents. Any person who lives within the city limits and pays taxes to the City of Two Rivers is eligible for the resident fee. All other registrants must pay the non-resident fee. All classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If a program is full, your name will be placed on a waiting list and you will be notified if/when an opening occurs. As soon as we have received your payment, you will be registered in the class. *Note-A Fitness Center Membership entitles you to the Resident Rate on programs!

REFUND POLICY Refund requests received in writing (7) FULL DAYS PRIOR to the program start date, will receive a refund minus a $5.00 administrative fee or 100% credit on account to be used for a future program or rental (excludes attraction tickets). NO REFUNDS OR ACCOUNT CREDIT GIVEN WITH LESS THAN (7) FULL DAYS NOTICE. Medical Illness or Injury refunds with a doctor’s note will be assessed on a case by case basis. This rental agreement is made and entered into by and between the City of Two Rivers, Wisconsin, hereinafter called “City” and the above-named individual, hereinafter called “Renter”: The parties agree as follows: The Renter understands his/her responsibility is to set up, clean up and restore premises within the time period listed above. If these services are provided by City staff, fees will be billed at an hourly rate of $40 per person per hour. Damages incurred to the property will be billed to the Renter.________ (initial) Limitation of Use: Renter agrees that the number of persons shall not exceed the capacity of the room rented (see reverse side) and that no intoxicating liquor or fermented malt beverages shall be served to minors. In the event this Limitation of Use is not complied with, renter shall be charged and agrees to pay an additional rental fee of $200. REFUND POLICY: I understand and agree that refund requests received in writing (30) full days prior to the reservation date, will receive a refund minus a $15.00 administrative fee or 100% credit on account to be used for a future rental or program (excludes attraction tickets). Less than (30) full days notice prior to the reservation date, will receive a 50% refund minus a $15.00 administrative fee. No account credit given. Less than (10) full days notice - No refunds or account credit are given. Cost incurred by the City for delivery & pick up of rental items such as linens or any other special request items for the rental will be deducted prior to issuing a refund. No refunds given for circumstances beyond the control of the Parks & Recreation Department (ie: weather). Deposits – will automatically be mailed to the address on the reservation form, unless arrangements have been made for pick up at the Parks & Recreation Office. Arthri s Class - 10:30 AM Tuesday Payment - One wellness card punch (Cards $10 Two Rivers Senior Center Members, $15 guests) (1 card = 10 classes)

Class led by cer fied instructor, chair based exercise while using hand weights, resistance bands and mini exercise balls. The class is designed to progress through full range of mo on while gently stretching all your joints to alleviate arthri s pain and general s ffness.

Drumming for Fitness - 2:00 PM Monday Payment - One wellness card punch (Cards $10 Two Rivers Senior Center Members, $15 guests) (1 card = 10 classes)

Laura Kriese will lead this low impact fitness class. Drumming is fun, reduces stress and burns calories.

Line Dancing - 9:00 AM Friday Payment - One wellness card punch (Cards $10 Two Rivers Senior Center Members, $15 guests) (1 card = 10 classes)

Class led by experienced volunteer. This is a fun and friendly group for both beginners and seasoned dancers to get cardiovascular exercise! It reduces stress while lowering blood pressure and cholesterol as well as improving strength and muscle tone. It also helps s mulate the mind which can help ward off Alzheimer's disease and other demen a. No boots required! The group dances in lines to music. Line dances are choreographed dances with a repea ng series of steps that are performed in unison.

Silver Sneakers - Range of Mo on - 11:15 AM Monday & Wednesday Payment - Free to Two Rivers Senior Center members and Silver Sneaker card holder members

Class led by YMCA staff, a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and ac vi es for daily living. Hand-held weights, elas c tubing with handles, and a Silver Sneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seat-ed and/or standing support.

Silver Sneakers - Yoga - 10:15 AM Monday & Wednesday Payment - Free to Two Rivers Senior Center members and Silver Sneaker card holder members

Class led by YMCA staff, a series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restora ve breathing exercises and final relaxa on will promote stress reduc on and mental clarity.

Walking in the gym program - 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM Monday - Friday Payment - Add your $ 0.25 each day in the dona on jar in the senior center as you check in on the My Senior Center computer.

This class is led by Laura, a cer fied instructor that will make your workout fun by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Zumba® is a total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle condi oning, balance and flexibility, while your energy is boosted.

We’re Full...But Still Growing!

The Two Rivers Community Garden is full, but accepting names for the 2018 growing season waiting list. We have a wonderful group of gardeners already growing nutritious produce, some of which is donated to local residents in need.

• Each plot consists of three beds, each 3ft x 20ft for only $25/year.

• Organic growing practices means healthy food and soil.

• Raised bed design creates more produce with the least amount of work.

• Shared garden shed stocked with tools and supplies keep your cost low.

SWIM INSTRUCTION COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

Swim instruction offered at various levels listed below. Level 1– Skills include submerging face, blowing bubbles, experiencing buoyancy, supported front and back float kick, and learning basic water safety rules. Level 2-Skills include holding breath, rhythmic breathing, orientation to deep water, prone and supine floating and kicking, front and back crawl arm action, combined strokes using kick and arm movement, turning over, and personal safety and rescue. Level 3– Skills include retrieving objects, jumping in and bobbing in deep water, prone and supine glide with push off, coordinating front and back crawl with breathing, and water safety techniques. Level 4-Skills include deep-water bobbing, rotary breathing, diving from side of pool, sculling on back, front and back crawl, and water safety techniques. Level 5-Skills include alternate breathing, stride jump entry, diving progression, breastroke and sidestroke (10 yd), dolphin kick, and open turns. Level 6-Skills include sharpen strength and stamina in various strokes, turns, treading water (2 min), and enhanced safety techniques. Level 7-Skills include review of all strokes, turns, and skills, retrieving diving brick, rescue assists, and rescue equipment utilization.

An introduction to the practice of yoga. Class is slower paced, focusing on breathing techniques and developing safe alignment in foundational poses. Includes step-by-step verbal guidance and demonstration. Modifications are always demonstrated for each pose. All levels are welcome.

Candlelight Yoga

Escape from your day and enjoy the tranquility of Candlelight Yoga. Ease physical, emotional, and mental tension while gentle movement and restorative poses focus on relaxing you into the deepest layers of your body. Soothe your soul and return to a place of release, surrender, and calm. Candles and calming music help to allow the mind to flow into peaceful meditation. All levels are welcome.

Gentle Yoga

Gentle classes are great for everyone! Gentle Yoga is a perfect introduction to yoga. Included are foundational poses, modifications, use of props, emphasis on breath, and some yogic philosophy. The goal is to move away from the busy, fast pace of our lives into a practice that is slow paced, mindful and conscious, and receive the abundant benefits of yoga. All levels are welcome.

Instructor: Ariane Gunderson Ariane’s teaching style is a balanced mix of deep stretching and relaxation. While practicing in her class you will have opportunity to explore new horizons within the mind and body. She aspires to help people develop the whole of their being, with an eye towards practices such as becoming present with the breath, compassion, contentment, and gratitude. You will receive the benefits of a beautifully balanced practice along with breathing and a deep guided relaxation. Her wish is to encourage everyone to begin their practice and open themselves up to the possibility of change in their lives. Ariane brings humor, support, and a non-judgmental attitude to her class to let students know that a yoga practice is a fun and a valuable experience. All students are welcome in class; even if you have never tried yoga or you have been practicing for years, you will fit right in.
