Park LIfe has sPIes everywhere-iNcLuDiNG QuEENsLANDMostly they are useless layabouts, but sometimes they stumble on a gemo a story, and this one is a cracker.

Miron Bleiberg, the Israeli big-mouth in charge o A-League out t GoldCoast United, is known or not being shy. He speaks his mind, and isnta raid to give anyone a spray. Most recently he and Ricki Herbert gave itto each other on the sidelines at Westpac Stadium.

But its giving a di erent kind o spray that Mirons in trouble or now. He

turned up to a Brisbane Strikers game in the local Queensland PremierLeague. Leaving the ground, he elt the call o nature, and took a quickwazz in the carpark. That didnt impress passing police very much. Theygave him a ticket or his trouble.

We all knew that Gold Coast United were pretty much pissing into thewind, but this takes it to new levels.

aLL whItes IN aUssIeLike a Capital 3 game between Lower Hutt and Kapiti Coast United, lastyears pre-world Cup riendly between the All Whites and the Soccerooswas anything but riendly. With Vince Grella, Tim Cahill and Marco Bresciano all pulling out stuntsthat wouldnt have looked out o place at a Roller Derby the Soccerooshardly showered themselves with honour. They did however win. Monday 5th June sees the chance or revenge and although Tim Cahill isout the rest o the criminals are likely or a call-up and without a WorldCup or them to kick our players out o it might just be the chance orrevenge. O course captain antastic Ryan Nelsen and Tommy Smith

will be out it is a riendly a ter all along with Phoenix avourites LeoBertos and Tony Lochhead - and no-longer avourite Marco Rojas listedas questionable - but with Mark Schwarzer showing orm recentlyreminiscent o a Wellington United 2nd team keeper anyone could score. While Australia will have eyes on a game against Serbia two days later, the All Whites have been together or a week having played Mexico onThursday. This could be the best chance in a while (well, since last year)to get a win over the mortal enemy. Meanwhile the White Noise boys are lining up behind them as always. The core o White Noise are o or a couple o days o outlet shopping, casual (not binge) drinking and State League ootball in Melbourne

ollowed by a jaunt to the City o Churches. Our match day base inAdelaide will be the British Hotel in North Adelaide. The nice people therehave lined us up a pack o sale prices on tap beer and cider as well asattractively priced eats and were a short walk through tree-lined streetsand parkland to the Adelaide Oval. che k t o t here: http://www.br t hhotel. om.a / I you cant get there, the lads at the Four Kings (less Matty who will be inAdelaide) will welcome you with open arms (and bars) and make you eellike it will be All White on the night. Take your back page o Park Li e FourKings voucher along and get a little something rom them as well. Meanwhile Parkys people will skip brushing up on what the German is

or Ill have two bottles o your cheapest Shiraz in the Barossa Valleyand instead be at the coal ace o local ootball around the grounds o Wellington looking or next weeks cover story.

TWO cENTRAL LEAGuE cLAsHEsBoth Napier City Rover and Miramar received byes through to round 2,however Parky doesnt quite understand how the holders enter the comp a

ull round be ore ve North Region teams. Someone needs a Lower Hutt likeupper cut or that decision. These two teams played out a 0-0 draw back onMay Day (May 1st or those Torys out there) up in Napier in Central Leagueaction. The Mar should head into this as luke warm avourites a ter beingunbeaten in 9 games, while Napier is heading towards mid-table mediocrity.2-1 to the Mirama a a ter extra time.

Undoubtly the game o the round sees two Central League team duke in outat Bell Park (evitable trans erred to Fraser Park). Lower Hutt were rewardedwith consecutive Central league opponents a ter they schooled West 3-0in a ery rst round encounter. Koach Keinzley had a slightly easier task o dispatching Wainuiomata 5-1. With both team in the top hal o the Big Travelleague, this should be a cracker. Wairarapa to edge it 2-1 and Jake Theorn tothrow a tanty a ter being subbed.

The rst o two Wellington derbies sees Upper Hutt host lynn o Tawa. UpperHutt saw o a poor Karori side (Hi Porteous) in round one, and have beenstruggling or orm since Wayne Rooker and Dion Bartosh headed overseas

or work. Tawa have been tagged with the giant killing label a ter they beat

Wairapapa and Olympic, and drew with Miramar, however their inconsistentorm was highlighted a ter they only just sneaked past North Wellington in

extra time in round one. This one could go to penalties. Makeshi t keeperKarl Romijn to save two penalties to help Tawa to a 4-2 penalty win (1-1 a terextra time). Parky is the nger on the pulse o local ootball, however, even he hasno clue about Red Sox and Taradale. Red Sox are currently second inWestern Premiership, while Taradale seem to have a team in both theWestern (currently 4th) and Paci c Premiership (currently 2nd) , urtherhighlighting the Mickey Mouse nature o Central Football. Not that

anyone probably cares, but Red Sox to sweep aside Taradale 3-1(google broom sticks and Taradale to get that re erence). In what is almost certainly another one sided a air, Stop Out hostIngelwood. Like NP Rangers, Ingelwood are in the 3rd tier o CentralFootball, and have chalked up 3 wins rom their rst 8 games. A ter aslow start, Stop Out are in a mini resurgence in Capital Premier and put 7past a helpless Stokes Valley in round one. Inglewood will leave the Huttwith nothing but a stinging sensation when they pee. Expect at a 5 goalwinning margin in this one.

BiG TRAvEL OR PETONE iN BiG cuPPetone head north to Taranaki this Queens Birthday weekend to takeon top o the table Taranaki premier league side New Plymouth Rangers(NPR) at Merrilands Domain. Most will be expecting a walk in the park orthe big travel league team, however the smooth talking and high rollingNPR owner Mickey Abramovich, a local celebrity and oil & gas tycoon willbe thinking otherwise a ter securing the services o a barrel load o lastseasons Team Taranaki players to join the gers.

Notable signings include Nathan Hill, who is preparing or a trial withan S-league club, Jared Macelhannan, Greg Clark, James Grieve, B RadHickling and an unnamed Argentinean oil rig worker with very, verygreasy hair. The inside word is the Argentinian will make Petone spillmore ball than a BP well spilling oil into the Gul o Mexico.

Home advantage and a greasy sur ace could cause Petone to slip, look or

    an upset.

TWO WORLDs cOLLiDEWellington United Argentina travel all the way rom Buenos Aires toPalmerston North on Monday to take on the mightily monikered NorthEnd AFC 1sts M B Cranes & Engineering.

I nothing else, this will be a chance or Palmerston Northites to see someootball. Wellington United are fying in Capital Premier, and while we

like poking un at G Littles boots and Ken Allens li e there is no denyingthat they area super side in top orm. Emiliano Tado is one o the talents

Hutt in contrast have hit a bit o a fat spot, giving up points to WatersideKarori last weekend that would have had them outright leaders.

Whar es will be looking to carry on their non-losing streak, but will havea tough task as they visit ormer coach Shaun Gill at Miramar Rangers.Three points or Whar es could li t them to the sa ety o 10 points, andclear o Marist who will certainly lose to Wellington United. It wont beeasy though, with Rangers a strong out t.

Olympic have a day o , travelling to Wests or a ormality match thatwill earn them three easy points. Wests rst team had three sent o last

week so there isnt even the spectre o team stacking to worry about.Just wave em through.

WHAR iEs vs PETONE iN BiG cuP(4 Ma 2002)Boh. Check dis. It is me, Ali G. Last weekend me and me boyz went tochek a game ho ootball betweun da Karori massive and the Petonemassive at Karori Park which is just like the John Nike Leisure Centre inBracknell. Da game was or the Chatham Cup and me was keen to chekhout this Whar es side that everyone has been banging on about. Hitwas expected to be a close encounta.

Now me mate Dave says that there is some well t birds that watchthese games, but all I could see was a couple o mingers who seemedto know Matt McGloughlan. Aye. Karoris passin wuz well wicked in the

rst har , and dey took da lead in the 20th minute, when Trapper Rogan,

who happarently is well good at taking ree kicks, scored a wicked one. In the second har Karori was playing well badly, and in the 70th minuteJesse Phillips did a well rank mistake to give Petone a chance that meJulie could have taken. The Petone striker took the ball o Phillips and eshot da ball past da goal keepa.

Da game wuz a well close one, and in the 80th minute da Petone massivestruck again. Some rank de ending by Karori, and quicker than a drive-by, the Petone striker nished o an easy chance. Greenie had a chanceto level the game in the last minute, but da shot went wide ho da goalwhich was a bit racialist. Petone won da game 2-1.
