Scovill Sculpture ParkScovill Park w 421-7435In 2016, the Scovill Sculpture Park was unveiled, thanks to a gift from the Howard G. Buffett Foundation. The park is comprised of 11 sculptures that are rented from the artists for a two-year period. The dragon piece entitled “Please Sit Down, Read Me a Story,” has been purchased by a local donor, so it will remain in its “forever home” just outside the Children’s Museum. Stay tuned for the exciting spring unveiling of the park’s permanent piece. Designed by a local artist, the work incorporates water, metal, concrete, and technology! Prepare to be amazed!

Decatur Parks Foundation By encouraging the financial support of businesses and individuals, the Decatur Parks Foundation supports the Park District’s facilities, parks, and recreation programs, which spur economic development, nurture our citizens’ health and well-being, and enhance our community’s quality of life.
