Some very exciting changes are under way in the Parivartan world -
1. "Parivartan” is spreading its wings and taking over a 100 new branches
under its wings. The next few weeks will see training workshops conducted in
all 6 regions and new change leaders taking on the responsibility to train &
lead their branches.
2. The collections initiative is gaining momentum with the new collections pilot
all set to launch in Maharashtra. Also Mr. Praveen Kumar V, ED will now be
heading PAN India ‘Hard Bucket Collections and Legal’ along with his team.
What's New?
Leadership Speaks
The team of Parivartan Post caught up with Mr.Jilani to congratulate him on
his appointment as the head of “NEW” (North, East & West) states & also get
his thoughts on the Parivartan transformation program
Hello Mr. Jilani. Congratulations! What has been your
focus after taking on the new distinguished role?
Thanks. I am very excited! Right now I want to replicate
the success of Parivartan in Maharashtra for the “NEW”
states as well. The focus is also on ensuring success of
the collections pilot in Maharashtra
You definitely think the initiative has seem some success?
Of course! The numbers speak for themselves. Especially in cross-sell, which
was an altogether new initiative in Maharashtra. Earlier cross selling was very
low in volume & was not captured well. Now both the business numbers &
volumes have grown significantly. Even in SME, the sourcing has improved
significantly. Our executives are meeting more customers daily & the pipeline
of leads generated is helping us convert business in subsequent months
Mr.Jilani, what is your vision for Parivartan?
Mine & the management’s vision from the beginning has been to accelerate
growth. The only way we see this happening is to by completely integrating
technology end to end with the current process.
Change Leader Corner : What they have to say
19th September 2016 | Edition 2
For this edition of Parivartan Post, we caught up with two of our Change Leaders to get
their views, thoughts & feedback on the transformation. Here is what they had to say!
PARIVARTAN
POST
Good morning Sateesh. You have now been a change leader for over 6
months. How has the experience so far been?
Great. So far the experience has been very exciting. Being a Change
Leader in the very first phase of the transformation I have had a chance
to witness the change from scratch & got to learn many new things &
also meet & interact with people from outside the company.
Good to hear! Are there any changes you have seen in the pilot branches under “Parivartan”?
Oh yes. After the implementation of the SME & Cross-sell projects, I have seen that we now
understand our customers so much better. Although our customer interactions were always good,
what we have implemented now is a more scientific approach to evaluating customers – from their
cashflows to other qualitative aspects. This is a transformation program that I support 100%.
Any advice to new Change Leaders?
Only two points – we spend a lot of time travelling, so the new CLs should get used to doing a lot
of work while travelling. Also it is important that they should keep track of analysis daily.
Hi Nivrutti! What inspired you to take on this role of Change Leader?
When the initiative first began, we had a person from McKinsey visit the
branch & spend time with us understanding the process & field. I was
really impressed with his attitude & the way he worked. So when later I
was given the opportunity to be a part of this program, I took it up.
Of course. There is a lot of travel involved, sometimes you are travelling at nights also. But I took
it up as a challenge. I remember Lakshmi Sir joking at the first meeting saying “Nivrutti, you are
a bachelor now. Don’t get married anytime soon. You will have a lot of work to do over the next
few months!”. But I am really enjoying the process. Also both Mr. Vijay Panwar & Mr. Jilani have
been very supportive, taking a lot of interest in my branches & inspiring me often
If you had to give the new Change Leaders any advice, what would it be?
I would just like to tell that being a Change Leader is a lot of work, but once you see this not just
as a way to grow the company, but also to grow yourself, you will really enjoy the process. And
McKinsey is always there to help!
Did you at any point feel that being a Change Leader was lot of work?
