LENT –2016
We will begin our Lent with Ash Wednesday Service on
this Wednesday, Feb.10th.
We will have the distribution of Ashes during 8:00 am
Mass and 7:00 pm Mass.
Please Note:
This is not a Day of Obligation; but it is a DAY OF
FASTING and ABSTINENCE
Ash Wednesday and Good Friday, all adults (sick
are exempted) are to observe Fasting and Absti-nence, that is—we may eat only one full meal this day; the other two meals should be light meals, and no meat of any kind should be eaten!
We will have Stations of the Cross at all the Fridays
of Lent starting at 7:00 pm
Our Lenten Penance Service is on March 7th, at 7:00
pm. and on all Wednesdays of Lent from 5:30—6:30
pm there will be opportunity to receive the Sacra-

The month of February is traditionally Catholic Com-
munications Month. It is the month in which our Ten-
nessee Register Subscriptions are due. The subscription
this year remains at $26 for renewals & new subscrip-
tions. Envelope users will find a yellow envelope in their
packet. Check donors may give by noting “Tennessee
Register” on their check’s remarks line!

Angel Tree Donations: Thank You!!!
The Sacred Heart Council of Catholic Women would like
to Thank everyone for their support in our Angel Tree-
Food Drive this past December. Our Angel Tree donations
totaled $2,626.00. With this money we were able to pay
for 45 poinsettias for the shut-ins, 10 food baskets, and
the remainder was donated to 5 different charities: The
Women's Shelter, A Kids Place, God's Storehouse, Santa
for all Seasons and Ingram Sowell School. Thanks
again for making this mission possible!!!!

Dates coming up in our Parish & School:
Thank You Sacred Heart Students, Faculty, and Staff would like to thank everyone that
participated in our Catholic School Activities in any way. We appreciate the
turn out for the Big Country Breakfast last Sunday. It was a wonderful morn-
ing getting to be together as a parish. This week as we celebrated who we
are as a Catholic School, we remembered all those that have worked so
hard to support the school and its programs. Thank you again and God
bless you all for your support of Catholic education!

CATHOLIC MEN OF FAITH CONFERENCE
This year’s Catholic Men of Faith Conference will be held on Saturday, February 27th from 8:30 am until 2:30 pm at St. Philip Church in
Franklin. (Doors open at 7:30 am) The cost of $40 includes a delicious box lunch! ($45 at the door) For high school & college students the
cost is $25 which also includes lunch.
The day begins with Mass celebrated by Bish-op David Choby. The speakers this year in-
clude: Tom Peterson, Joseph Pearce, and Fa-ther Wade Menezes.
There will be an opportunity for the Sacrament of Penance. All men are invited to re-charge their faith and to leave strengthened & more
courageous.
