Temporada de Cuaresma:
La Cuaresma es la principal estación penitencial en el año
litúrgico de la iglesia que refleja los cuarenta días que Jesús
estuvo en el desierto en ayunas y oraciones en preparación
de la Pascua. Únase con Blessed Sacrament a un servicio
bilingüe en las Estaciones de la Cruz todos los Viernes des-

Families wishing to have a special presentation of their new-
borns to Jesus and our community during our weekend
masses, please talk to a priest before the beginning of the

The Cardinal’s Annual Stewardship Appeal 2020:

Season of Lent:
Lent is the primary penitential season in the Church’s liturgical
year reflecting the forty days Jesus spent in the desert. Please
join Blessed Sacrament during our bilingual service of the sta-
tions of the cross every Friday after the 8am and the 7pm
masses.

Helps you to apply for Snap Benefits with free assistance. You
family size, income, resident status and other factors deter-
mine your eligibility in receiving these benefits. You can visit

40 Days for Life: Want to be part of saving lives? All it takes is your prayers and presence. 40 Days for Life is a life-saving prayer campaign that will be held February 26th through April 5th. 40 Days for Life is a peaceful initiative consisting of 40 days of prayer and fasting, peaceful vigil at abortion facilities, and educational outreach with the goal of protecting mothers and their children from abortion. Fasting: The law of fasting requires a catholic from 18 to 59
birthday, to reduce the amount of food eaten from normal dur-
ing the season of lent. Penance: Cannon Law requires all
faithful, each in his or her own way to do penance, the days
during the lent season are Fridays, to abstain from meat is
obligatory for those from 14 year and above. Excused are
those with unsound mind, the sick, frail, pregnant or nursing
women.
