Fr. John would like for all parishioners to be aware of all those who are wheelchair bound and frail in our parish

community. If you see someone struggling please assist and let them know about the parking which is located in the school carpark. This area is located behind the John Nee Hut. There is a path into the Church which has no in-cline and this makes it easier to access the Church. Placing signage around the Church would be difficult at this stage as the school carpark is only available to the Church during the weekend. The parish will endeavour to address access and safety matters as they arise. If we all do our part to insure these members of our community are made aware of that carpark and looked after that would be wonderful. Thank you.

Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults Prevention and Protection Policy. In 2014, Archbishop Mark launched the new Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adult

Prevision and Protection Policy. The central message of the Policy is grounded in the policy statement: The Archdiocese of Brisbane holds that children, young people and vulnerable adults are a gift from God with an intrinsic right to dignity of life, respect and security from physical and emotional harm. They are to be treasured, nurtured and safeguarded by all. This means that everyone in the Church must ensure that the fundamental rights of children, young people and vulnerable adults are respected. This will be achieved through the development of respectful relationships and a commitment to safety, embracing appropriate boundaries, behaviours and practices, in accordance with the Archdiocesan Code of Ethical Be-haviour and adherence to legislative imperatives of the State. To meet this commitment, our parish will be required to fulfil a number of compliance matters. Some of these have already been put in place; however your support is needed to ensure that our Parish meets all

requirements of the policy implementation.
