Job Description PARISH LIFE CHAIR - SYNOD DELEGATE
Position Elected, two-year term (option for one two-year renewal)
Position Requirements The Parish Life Chair should be baptized, 18 years of age and a regular communicant and should have an interest in
the fellowship within the parish and must be able to deal well with groups involved in these types of activities.

Rector, Parish Secretary and Group Leaders
The Parish Life Chair must for each activity (See below), ensure there is a system in place for getting the job done, that someone doing the job, (or finding a replacement when required), reporting to Vestry on each assigned activity and communicating from Vestry to persons doing the activity. Within the parish, the Parish Life Chair will promote fellowship activities and will ensure a system is in place to provide physical support to parishioners in need of all types of relief.
Duties The duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Oversee The Parish life Chair will oversee the coordination of the following activities within the parish:
a) arrangements for parish social activities b) arrangements for the catering of fbnerals and diocesan meetings c) parishioners support programs (i.e., Casseroies)
Communicate With The Parish Life Chair will provide communication between Vestry and the following groups:
a) Foyer b) Cleos c) Senior Ladies d) Romeos
Other Related Duties Attend and participate in meetings of Synod in accordance with Canon 5 clause 62 (a) to (c). Collective Vestry Responsibility Attend and participate in Vestry in accordance with Canon 5 clause 63 (a) to (e).
Diocesan Responsibilities Incumbent is encouraged to seek appointment to diocesan committees.
