A Note from the Diocese of Dallas on Children Sacraments and Faith Formation Please be aware that only a parent or legal guardian may arrange for the sacraments, or faith formation, of a minor child. It must be confirmed that any person registering a minor child for continuing faith formation, or sacramental preparation, has the legal authority to do so. If that adult’s name is not reflected on the child’s birth certificate, or in the case of an already baptized minor child, on the baptismal certificate, the person must provide the proper documentation that shows he/she has the legal right to arrange for the spir-itual needs of the child. Our parish is growing by leaps and bounds. This means we are gifted with new families registering weekly, and many of these families include school-aged chil-dren. This further means that our Faith Formation numbers and needs are also growing.

Please pray and ask the Holy Spirit what role He has for you in the Faith Formation Program. Catechists, Catechist Aides, Substitutes, Hall Monitors, Office Helpers, and Translators are in need for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year. Classes might be cancelled if we cannot get enough volunteers.

Nuestra parroquia está creciendo a pasos agigantados. Esto significa además, que nuestros números y las necesidades de Formación de Fe también están creciendo, y mu-chas de estas familias se encuentran los niños en edad escolar.

Por favor Ore y pídale al Espíritu Santo qué papel tiene para ti en el programa de Formación de Fe. In compliance with the Diocese of Dallas Safe Environment Policy, all volunteers must complete the diocesan screening process prior to serving as a volunteer with parish children. If you taught last year, and wish to return, but haven’t yet notified me, please give me a call. If you feel called to this ministry but have questions; please contact Lucy Cavazos. We welcome the opportunity to visit with you about serving your parish community as a volunteer in the ministry of Faith Formation.

LIFE NIGHTS – serve youth in grades 9 through 12 with the goal of empowering them to become stronger, more in-tentional disciples. We gather to learn and discuss a variety of topics that concern youth in the present day from the Church to discipleship and social justice. Life Nights meets on Sunday after the 5:30 PM Mass in Father Pondant Hall. Dinner is served, and new faces are always welcome! BAPTISMS English Baptisms are the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Saturday of the month at 6:00p.m. Please contact the parish office to schedule the baptism. The parents and sponsors must take a baptismal preparation class. Baptismal preparation classes are offered the 3rd Saturday of each month at10:00 a.m. in the old white church in English. Please call the parish office to register. Baptismal preparation for children ages 7 to 14 is handled in the Faith Formation Program.

MARRIAGES Marriage preparation requires a minimum of 6 months. Both parties must be free to marry in the Catholic Church. Weddings are scheduled to run between 1:00pm and 2:00pm. Rehearsals are at 3:00pm on Friday before wedding. Call Debbie @972-442-2765
