Parish Calendar
CCD at North American Martyrs is a program where you will learn about God, your Catholic Faith, and will prepare you for the sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation. Students in first through eighth grade who attend public schools or are homeschooled are invited and encouraged to participate. Classes meet on Wednesday evenings from 6—7:30 pm and will begin September 9th. You can find registration forms at the Parish Information Center or on our website. Please drop them in the Sunday collection basket or return them to the Office.
CCD: We are in need of several CCD Teachers and Assistants for the upcom-ing school year. If you are interested in helping in a classroom as the teacher or as an assistant, please contact Fr. Connor at 402-476-8088 ext. 3 or Beth Benes at 402-210-5718 or [email protected].
Special collection this weekend is for the Contemplative Sisters (Holy Spir-it Adoration Sisters and the Carmelite Nuns). In gratitude for the prayers and presence of these Sisters in our Diocese, we ask your generosity for them and their ministry. Envelopes are in your packets and extra envelopes are available at the Parish Information Center. These may be dropped in the basket in the narthex or the drop box outside the east church door.

RCIA begins on Thursday, September 10th. Rite of Chr is-tian Initiation of Adult (RCIA) is for all who would like a clear and comprehensive explanation of the Catholic faith. Catholic Social Services has funds available for rent, utilities, and emergency cash assistance help. We have funds set aside for every region of southern Nebraska, not just the towns where we have offices. So please, if you know of anyone that needs help please have them call in for assistance. Martyrs Parish has been greatly blessed to have Seminarian John McDonald and Deacon Matthew Kovar this summer. They will be leaving us this week to return to their studies.
