• Each child from class 5 to 12 will create 8 plans to showcase her creativity

• Each plan will focus on one area of growth - emotional, social, physical, cerebral and spiritual

Assessment The process of assessment is as important as the end product and will see the 'birth' of good judges, evaluators and celebrators

Motivation Children will be motivated to give their best to achieve their chosen goals, when there is enthusiastic and interested response to their efforts

Showcase & Present

Each child will have the opportunity to showcase her creations to: Parents (120), teachers (120) and students (240)

There will be 480 celebrators

• The student is the facilitator in her own learning process

Role of student:

• The emergence of constructive and structured "non- seat " time

Practical impact of this design:

• To empower children to become the architects of their growth in all areas

Purpose of this design:

Will be available to the children as sounding

boards, guides, sources of information,

consultants

Interactions with children will be an enjoyable process

Will celebrate both the created product and the creative process as well, in order to do justice to the

celebration

It will mean a more intensive engagement

with the children

Yet, it will let children take ownership over

their own growth

Raising the Bar

Students in the new year will get opportunities to become architects of their own growth

This is the system of 9 cycles where students set their own goals in all areas of development and have 16 days to achieve these goals

For teachers too, it is important to raise the bar and take on self empowering roles

The calendar has now been modified to reflect this

Review and Co-ordinator Meetings

Review meetings:

• Will be replaced by the Open House every Wednesday morning in the senior school

• The Foundation and Nursery Open House, and the Junior School Open house will continue as before

• Class teachers will have to take on a proactive role in making these meetings effective and purposeful

Coordinator meetings will take place once a month on Fridays after school, all staff will stay back

• One of the items on the agenda for these meetings will be the class teachers report on the open house interactions

Monthly Saturday Meeting

Once a month, on a Saturday, Heads of Departments and Coordinators will meet with school heads

• Heads of Department and Coordinators will present a review of the month past and their plan for the month ahead

• Heads of School will present a social and emotional report on the students

Each presentation will last no longer than 5 minutes, followed by questions and answers and a discussion

These presentations will be collated into an end of the year report on all aspects of the school

Key to School Calendar Working Day: • A school day from 7:25 am to 3:15 pm

Staff Meeting: • All staff meet

Saturday Meeting

• Heads of departments, coordinators and heads of school meet with Mr Kapur one Saturday a month

Coordinators Meeting

• Meet one Friday a month after school

Staff retreat: • 3 day break in May

Holiday:

• Weekend

• National holiday

• Extra days added on to National holidays, to ensure a sizeable break
