parents are the best teachers

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents are the best teachers. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. Over the past few decades, industrialization and modernization have developed in leaps and bounds, resulting in the paced life, in which many parents spend almost their adulthood on gaining monetary wealth instead of paying attention to children. Given this along with the increasingly important role of schoolteachers, some adopt a view that parents are no longer instrumental in instructing children; however, as far as I am concerned, parents are always the best teachers. Firstly, good parenting can bring about positive stepping-stone toward the mental and physical development of children. In fact, parents are the ones giving their babies the very first lessons in life, which may then have direct, pivotal impacts on the way their beloved think and behave. To be more specific, children are often taught morals such as right and wrong actions, how to greet others politely, conduct themselves well at their early ages and during their adolescence. Only when this practice is implemented effectively, will the children be likely to become well- being citizens. Therefore, giving low weight to the parents’ role in educating children is a grave mistake. Secondly, the thorough understanding of children can help parents determine the most effective teaching method, which could be hardly gained by schoolteachers

Only when this practice is implemented effectively, will the children be likely to become well-being citizens. Therefore, giving low weight to the parents role in educating children is a grave mistake.

Secondly, the thorough understanding of children can help parents determine the most effective teaching method, which could be hardly gained by schoolteachers who feel a strong sense of responsibility towards their varied students. For instance, teachers often take care of many students who are of different characteristics, academic achievements, backgrounds, which makes them difficult to carry out a perfect way of teaching to all members. Consequently, they may be considered as good to some, but not or even bad to others.

Admittedly, parents are not every inch a teacher. Specifically, in some cases, given being not as well-grounded as teachers, their knowledge may not suffice to deliver adequate information relating to aspects that children desire to learn further. Meanwhile, school teachers, with their specialist skills and knowledge, will do it well.

In conclusion, given the above mentioned facts, I personally believe that parents are the best teachers. Yet, it is noticeable that their role will not pay-off if they do not put their children at the first place.
