As parents we need to adapt ourselves to suit our child’s needs. Parenting sessions give parents confidence to raise competent children. Dr. Riyaz Syed conducted parenting sessions in the school auditorium.

Dr. Riyaz Syed stressed on the importance of spending quality time. Parents should listen and speak to their child at least for 10 minutes every day. It is positive reinforcement and makes the child confident. As every child is unique, refrain from comparing your child. Focus more on the achievements, converting negative to positives. Parents should follow the 3T’s formula – T- Time, T- Talk and T- Touch.

Dr Syed also stressed that as parents we want to give them everything, it is not necessary, it helps if they can learn to be patient and value things. Children should be given controlled freedom. Teach them honesty and give them courage to approach you with their mistakes. Focus more on inner talent rather than external beauty. The session was filled with valuable tips.

The parents were very happy with the session and felt more equipped to deal positively with their children.
