Parental Respite: Parent Child Classes Parent and child classes recognize not all moms nor dads spend as much quality time, laughing, learning and playing with the children as they would like to. Daily demands are so chock full of responsibility like work, grocery shopping and scuttling the little ones to one place or another, that precious moments between you and your child are too few. Find a program that provides motivation, structure and most importantly, dedicated time- space that let you and your children bond. At the same time, your experiences will add valuable activities that work to promote early cognitive and motor skills development, establishing a strong foundation towards a lifetime of beneficial learning. Working with children ages 0 to 3 years in age, moms and dads in these courses participate in a series of mutually engaging activities. Throughout your time together, children evolve via continual milestones of child development. Early on, they begin to develop gross motor skills, presenting a perfect time for the two of you to mix things up with different objects (balls, crayons, smushy things) or simply get used to moving those legs in an upright position. You become the coach, showing off your expert ability to sit and stand in one fluid motion over and over. As kids enter the "terrible two's," smiles, hugs and patience are your pillars for success. And you're rewarded with the same qualities from your little person. Plus, the community of parents, all facing the same challenges as you, become an adult support group.

Parental Respite: Parent Child Classes

Parent and child classes recognize not all moms

nor dads spend as much quality time, laughing,

learning and playing with the children as they

would like to. Daily demands are so chock full of responsibility like work, grocery shopping

and scuttling the little ones to one place or

another, that precious moments between you

and your child are too few.

Find a program that provides motivation,

structure and most importantly, dedicated time-

space that let you and your children bond. At the same time, your

experiences will add valuable activities that work to promote early cognitive and motor skills development, establishing a

strong foundation towards a lifetime of beneficial learning.

Working with children ages 0 to 3 years in age, moms and dads

in these courses participate in a series of mutually engaging

activities. Throughout your time together, children evolve via

continual milestones of child development. Early on, they begin to

develop gross motor skills, presenting a perfect time for the two

of you to mix things up with different objects (balls, crayons,

smushy things) or simply get used to moving those legs in an upright position. You become the coach, showing off your expert

ability to sit and stand in one fluid motion over and over.

As kids enter the "terrible two's," smiles, hugs and patience are

your pillars for success. And you're rewarded with the same

qualities from your little person. Plus, the community of parents,

all facing the same challenges as you, become an adult support

group.

Tandem activities emphasize positive behaviors like sharing, using "no" when absolutely necessary and contribution to

community. Children mature significantly as they approach three,

and new skills are ready to build on the foundation thus far. Her

brain becomes like a sponge, ready for concrete data, perceptual

awareness, understanding of colors, letters and numbers and it's

all quite exciting.

Use this development stage and pick from a wide range of

tandem programs. Some activities emphasize physical fitness (Tumble Bugs) i.e. gymnastics or dancing. Others feature singing,

crafts or brainy pursuits. Consider the kid, then follow your

interests.

Ultimately the framework used, is just that, a fun distraction and

means to an end. The heart of it is in allowing parent child classes

to build a loving and integrated rapport, often a respite from daily

to dos.

Pick an activity, then have fun. Oh, and bring a camera. REFERENCES:
