STUDENT REPORTS Students took their Semester 1 progress reports home today. Congratulations to every child who continues to do their best and constantly strive to learn. Generally, we are a happy bunch, kids love coming to school and the staff usually have a big smile and laugh about most things. PARENT INTERVIEWS Due to industrial action by teaching staff this Wednesday, the scheduled Parent/Teacher evening will be postponed to Wednesday, July 25, Week 2, Term 3. WINDOW BLINDS New blinds will be installed on every window in Blocks A, B & C this Thursday. Twylight Blinds from Leeton were the successful company to quote for the job. 2013 KINDER PARENTS INFORMATION NIGHT Leeton Soldiers Club Auditorium 6.00pm start - 7.00pm Our captains Ryan Pitt and Crystal Lipscombe, and Georgie Dunn will be guest speakers. SCHOOL ATHLETICS CARNIVAL This Thursday, June 28 9.15am - Years 2/6 compete in Field Events. K/1 remain in class. 11.00am - Recess 11.30am - K/6 Track Events. 1.00pm - BBQ Lunch [please order if you can before Thursday]. 1.45pm - Track Events resume, - Relays, - Tug-o-War, - Presentation. Parents are most welcome to assist with field and track events as well as in the canteen. This is a fun and relaxed day so please come and support your children. INDUSTRIAL ACTION Wednesday, June 27 Indications are that Yanco Public School will be closed next Wednesday, June 27, due to a 24 hour Industrial Action by members of the NSW Teachers Federation. All staff will be absent. Parents are asked to organise suitable supervision for their children on Wednesday. The school will reopen on Thursday, June 28 for the Athletics Carnival. A note will be sent home on Monday with any changes/ confirmation of the above information. SHINE All Leeton district Public Schools will be performing in “Shine” - a celebration of 100 years of irrigation and public education in the Leeton area. (Yes I know, Whitton has been going for 128 years!). ` This is in week 7 of Term 3. If you wish to purchase a T Shirt (it is not necessary to have one) please fill in the attached note and return it before the end of next week.

Monday: Years 2/3/4 & Years 5/6 Tuesday: K/1 You will need a library bag or a sturdy plastic bag for borrowing books. This protects books from getting damaged in school bags. Please bring your library book on library day so that you can re-borrow.

Every time you shop at the Golden Apple please keep your dockets. All dockets can be placed in a box at

the school office. Let’s see if we can beat last years record!
