Board of Trustee Elections This year throughout New Zealand, Board of Trustee elections will be held. The election day will be around late March/
April with dates to be confirmed next week.
The Board is made up of five parent elected representatives, one staff representative and the Principal. We generally
meet once a month.
We are looking for an enthusiastic group of parents to help with setting a vision for our school so that Motupipi continues
to be a place where you want to send your children.
We will soon be holding an information evening for those who are interested or want find out more about what becoming a Board member involves or how much time it takes.
In the meantime please feel free to contact one of the current Board members, have a chat about their experience as a Board member or go to the Trustees Election Homepage www.trustee-election.co.nz for a short video.
If you know of a parent who you think would make a good Board member, please ask them to consider it.

Guitar Tuition with Levity Beet for students in Year 5/6
Small group lessons will be on
Thursday afternoons.
New students can borrow a school
guitar.
Returning students are expected to
sort out their own guitar.
Students pay a term fee based on around $6 per week.
School terms are of differing lengths so a term fee will
be $30 -$48 depending on how many weeks Levity is
there for.
Levity is always away the last two weeks of term so the
guitar course is shorter than the full term length.
Students must bring a clear-file folder to keep materials
in and bring the school or their own guitars to school
each Thursday.
Room Five - Reading This week we got to choose our own novels. I chose “The Butterfly Lion” written by Michael Morpurgo. There is a little white lion from the wild in Africa, which they are taming. It is special because they have never seen a white lion before. By Iyla I am excited about reading “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” which I started this week. I really like Harry Potter because I’ve watched the movies. I need to watch five more. By Trey
