deTurn your spring-loaded pegs into dragons for Chinese New Year. Great for party bags or to hang decorations with.
Adding colour to a template, cutting out and sticking pieces in place can support children’s creativity and fine motor skills.
Why not make some Chinese lanterns or money envelopes and hang them up using your dragon pegs?
Instructions
Equipment:• spring-loaded clothes pegs
• Dragon Head Templates (you may wish to print or stick these onto thin card)
• pens/crayons
• scissors
• glue
Chinese New Year Peg Dragons
1. Print the Dragon Head Templates and add colour using pens or crayons.
2. Cut out the templates.
3. Carefully, cut the templates in half by following the lines.
4. Glue the top half of the dragon head to the top of the peg and the bottom half of the dragon underneath. Make sure both parts of the dragon line up.
5. Peg the dragons onto an old mug while the glue dries to make sure the peg pieces don’t stick together.
