We're down to just a few more weeks of school, which means PTO only has 1 more week of the school store. We'd like to thank our Cowboys for all their business this year. We'd also like to extend a big thanks to the ladies who staff the store each Wednesday and Friday for all their time and energy in making that possible this year. Every drop of help makes a big difference; because of that help PTO has been able to support the upcoming 8th grade celebration again as well as accomplish many other worthwhile goals this year. Woot! Woot! Enjoy your weekend!
If you are planning on moving during the summer and not returning to Cockrill MS next school year, please notify Mari Dominguez at 469-302-7914 or [email protected] Also, if you do NOT have a Home Access Login ID please contact Mari Dominguez as well. You will need a Home Access ID and password to register your child in August for the 2016/17 school year and have access to their schedule. If you have multiple children in MISD and multiple logins please contact Mari Dominguez so she can merge your students into one account.

May 4, 2016 Dear MISD parent, This is just a friendly reminder from the MISD Student Nutrition Office and your Cafeteria Staff. As you may know the cafeteria cannot accept any charges beginning Tuesday, May 10th. Please understand that this policy is intended to reduce or eliminate negative balance accounts before the end of the school year. If your child has a negative balance or is unable to pay the full purchase price of the meal, they will receive an alternate meal that will consist of a sunbutter sandwich and vegetable until the charges are taken care of. We apologize if this is an inconvenience to you. Please feel free to call your cafeteria managers with any questions regarding your student’s account. Please remember we take cash and check payments in the cafeteria during kitchen hours and you may also visit https://www.myschoolbucks.com to use the online payment system. Remember when using the online system that we are not responsible for when the payments get processed, so please allow at least 24 hours for your payment to show up in your student’s account. Please do not put anyone at the school in the position of having to deny your child the meal of their choice – no one wants to do that. If you make sure your child has adequate funds for purchasing school meals, this can be avoided. MISD School Nutrition Office and Cafeteria Staff
Dear MISD Parents/Guardians, On June 3rd approximately 1400 young men and women will graduate from MISD high schools. For the 13th year McKinney’s Project Graduation will provide a safe, all-night event for them to celebrate their accomplishment. McKinney’s Project Graduation is a non-profit group run by McKinney volunteers with only one goal: saving lives. Statistics show that graduation night is one of the most dangerous for teenagers. Our graduates spend the entire night in a supervised setting playing games, winning prizes, hanging out with their friends and eating, all without charge to them. We are supported by Collin County Sheriff’s Department, the McKinney Police Department, McKinney Independent School District and the Collin County Commissioner’s Court. Because this is such a costly program, we are asking for help from our middle and elementary school parents/guardians. We need gift cards of any amount to use as prizes. Gift cards can be for restaurants, gas stations, stores, iTunes, VISA, MasterCard, etc. All donations will be given to the seniors in attendance. Please be sure that the gift card expires after September 30, 2016. If you would rather make a cash donation, please go to our website, www.mckinney-project-graduation.com. Finally, we also desperately need volunteers to make this wonderful event happen. We invite you to spend the evening with some great young people. You may sign up on our website. Please help ensure this life-saving program is still in place when your children graduate by supporting us this year. You may fill out the form below and mail it with your gift card or cash donation to McKinney’s Project Graduation, PO Box 1235, McKinney, TX 75070. Thank you, Deana McGonagill Director McKinney’s Project Graduation. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by IRS laws.
