Students are to be commended for the way in which they settled in and focused on building relationships with their teachers and classmates. A big part of student learning in these first two weeks has been our approach to student behaviour education, using the,‘Rational Emotive Behaviour Education’ (REBE) program , developed by Giulio Bortolozzo. This program is success oriented and focuses on developing positive mental health outcomes for students through building their resilience, on-task behaviour and how they perceive themselves. It would be great if you could discuss with your child/ren some of the things they have learned over the past two weeks, in particular the success helper capabilities. A big thank you to parents/caregivers for your support and positive feedback - we look forward to this continuing. If you have any concerns at any time, please don’t hesitate to raise these with your child’s teacher in the first instance or with a member of the leadership team. Thank you to all families who came to Acquaintance night on Wednesday night. It was great to see your children ‘showing off’ their classrooms and introducing you to their teacher. If you were unable to attend and would like an opportunity to meet your teacher, please ring to make a time or drop in after school. A letter went home yesterday to all students informing parents/caregivers of all the Pupil Free and School Closure dates for the year. They are listed in our diary dates, with the first 2 being Wednesday 27 th and Thursday 28 th February. Please speak with your child if you haven’t seen the letter. OSHC will be open on these days if there enough students. Please liaise with OSHC directly if you are interested. WELCOME BACK I would like to acknowledge how smoothly our first 2

weeks have gone. Students are to be commended

for the way in which they settled in and focused on

building relationships with their teachers and

classmates. A big part of student learning in these

first two weeks has been our approach to student

behaviour education, using the,‘Rational Emotive

Behaviour Education’ (REBE) program , developed

by Giulio Bortolozzo. This program is success

oriented and focuses on developing positive mental

health outcomes for students through building their

resilience, on-task behaviour and how they perceive

themselves.

It would be great if you could discuss with your

child/ren some of the things they have learned over

the past two weeks, in particular the success helper

capabilities.
