After downloading, print all pages on card stock or heavier paper, 160 g (recommended).

You can print the terrain tiles on regular paper.

PRINTING

• Usually, a piece for a card stock model is cut out in two stages.

• First, the piece is separated from the rest of the pieces by cutting roughly around it with scissors. Don’t cut along the lines at this step.

• Once the piece is separated, you can work on it without damaging other pieces. It’s best to do the scoring before proceeding to the cutting.

CUTTING

Be careful when using scissors.

Glue, scissors, and other tools may be dangerous, so be sure to keep them out of the reach of

young children.

CAUTION

To assemble this colorful play set, all you need are a few simple tools:

• scissors• glue stick• a ruler to score along the dotted

lines• an old pen with no ink for scoring

ASSEMBLING THE FIGURES

SCORING

Mountain fold

Valley fold

There are two kinds of folds:

Mountain fold generally means that the texture is on the outside, while on a valley fold the texture is usually inside.

After you have cut out a piece from the page, you need to score the dotted lines. Using a ruler and a dull pen, press over the dotted line. This will help you to make a crisp straight fold.

There are two kinds of folds, one with the long dash called “mountain fold” and one with dots called “valley fold.”

See the pictures below to understand how to fold your small picture.

• After you have scored the figure, fold it in two in the middle and fold the 2 tabs up (valley fold).

• Glue the two parts together being careful not to put glue on the tabs. Once the glue has dried, cut along each figure. don’t cut right on the black line. You can leave a few milimeters around the figure.

• Use a piece of left over paper to glue under the tab. This will help to make the figure sturdy. Then trim the excess paper, see the photos.

ASSEMBLING THE TERRAIN TILESCut out the terrain tiles along the black lines and glue them on a piece of cardboard or display board (you can find this in a hobby shop or office shop; it is made of a piece of foam covered on both sides with a piece of paper). It is easy to cut and makes a good support for your terrain tile.
