Find a specialized coach for a specific sport

The first part of the home screen shows the routines that the player is supposed to do each day. Since there are no routines added yet, it gives the option of adding one. The calendar shows the current day and mark the past days with a specific color. Under My Coaches section, the player can find a coach special-ized in their sport. The buttons on the bottom represent home, calen-dar, account, and routines.

If the user presses “add routine”, they should be redirected to find a coach first. The calendar in the home screen can become con-fusing because there is a specific button for calendar and it is not necessary to have both. I think it is better to have the days of the week and marks on the days that were completed or not.

When looking for a coach, the user can select multiple sports. The results show coaches specialized in the sport in a specific area that can be edited and also can be found by typing their name in case it was rec-ommended by someone. The rating system helps the players make their decision of choosing a coach. There are different ways of filtering the results. The two most important pieces of information apart from the rating are the experience and certifications.

Some people said that it would be helpful to add a radius of how close the coach is but some coaches might not have a specific address where they work at so I think having it by city or area works better.

They also mentioned that they would like to know the hourly rate or how much would they need to pay the coach before contacting him. Some said they would be interested in being part of a group or partici-pate in group sessions.

The profile shows an image of the coach, their occupation, the area where they work at, certifications, experience, awards, among other information. The contact button takes the user to a way of getting in contact with the trainer.

Question: what other information would you like to know or see about a training coach?Other useful information can be the best player they have coached, their personal records, a rating system and comments, age, cost, workout options/training plans, social media, more images and even videos of them training, exercises they use, etc. With more images and videos it is easier to identify is a person is legit or not.

The chat can make people more com-fortable when talking to someone for the first time. It also lets the user go back to the conversation and can see if the other person has received and read the texts.

Question: what is the most comfortable way for you to talk to someone for the first time to request a service? Some suggestions included adding an email address and phone number. How-ever, if a coach does not have a work phone and does not want to provide his personal one, the app should give him the option of adding the contact infor-mation he or she wants. The chat can become a separate part of the app kind of like direct messaging on Instagram. It should give the player and coaches the option of sharing voice-notes, images and videos.

The user has the option of pressing the assigned routine for the day or browse other ones. In this case, the user is traveling and selects the light travel routine (which is not in the home screen). This s supposed to solve the issue that only one routine was assigned for the whole month. Showing the amount of time that a routine lasts lets user program their day and find the time to do the workout.

One important comment that I received was that is the person is traveling the coach should know and he would assign the travel routine for those days. That is why I wanted to edit the calendar feature from just showing the days where the routine was completed and make it a way of adding the tourna-ments, travel days, and other events so the coach can assign a specific routine for each day of the month based on the events showed in the calendar. This would make the routines under Today be accurate for each day. I could also add more information to the button of the routine, like the intensity.

The Routines screen provides a list of them with information about the days it should be done, the amount of time they require and the name suggests what type of workout. The edit button lets the user change the order of the routines or mark them to delete them or file them.

Complete travel routine with personalized exercises

The Light Travel routine has two buttons at the top to stop the rou-tine or resume if it had to be paused at some point. The checks repre-sent the completed exercises and the button with three dots should open a screen where the user can rate the exercise or write comments about how it felt, if it hurt something or if the user was confused about doing it. The Select All button lets users mark all of the exercises in case they know how to do each one and do not want or need to open the screen of each exercise every time they do it.

Suggestions included showing that some of the exercises might not have been completed or not done at all and create an awareness of how they would look. One person showed me an example from an app they use and where they used intuitive colors to kind of show that (red for incomplete or difficult, yellow for in between and green for completed or easy). Also, some people did not understand that the navigation button on the right represents a list of routines. Some people also said that they would like to know the intensity of the workout. I also think that the routine should have a warm-up and a cool-down or stretch routine at the end.

The exercise screen offers a way of keeping track of the exercise, whether it is with a timer or a reps counter. Under the name it shows who was the one that “created” this exercise (each coach can create their own exercises to add to the routines). Having a timer on the app for timed exercises avoids having to go to other apps to use it. The bar under the timer works as a timeline. It shows the overall status of the routine by coloring the ones completed and show the current exercise in relation to all the others. This screen also provides a video explaining the form and technique from multiple views (front, side, back). And the buttons at the bottom lets the user move from one exercise to the other.

Question: what information are you interested in knowing about an ex-ercise or what helps you understand how to do it properly?Suggestions included a diagram of the body to show the muscles trained, modified versions, a map

with the route, and a written expla-nation. All of them said the videos are always helpful. I think I should add a restart button in case some-thing happens in the middle of the exercise and you want to start over. I also think it would be a good idea to have the timeline/progress bar fixed at the top.

The alert message informs that the routine was finished and it congratu-lates the user to show support.

Instead of having the ok/home buttons as the only options, the user should be able to see a sum-mary of the workout and send it to the coach so he can take a look at it in case something went wrong, it was not completed, etc. I think in the summary of the routine I should compare the estimated workout time with the actual time and give the user a chance to rate the ex-ercise and write any comments if there was an issue when doing it or if they enjoyed it.

One of the problems in the story was that there was not an proper way of keeping track of the result of the body measurements or fitness tests. Athletes like to see their previ-ous results to see their progress.

The navigation button with the account symbol takes the user to the physical information.

When pressed, the Me screen shows the most checked informa-tion and a button to show all the physical information. Under the physical data, the user can see their best results for different fitness tests or personal records. This informa-tion can be gathered from fitness gadgets or can be added manually.

I think that I should make the Me screen more like a profile screen. Just like the Coach profile but with information about the player, stats, and other data in addition to the physical results and best results.

The weight screen shows collect-ed information in a diagram. Visual information presented in a diagram makes it easier for the user to see the progress. The player can see the result in a day, week, month or year. The Show all data button gives the player access to a list of all the results obtained and the date they were added to the app.

I probably need to do another screen for the Show all data button and also find what is the best type of diagram to display the information

Check body weight progress for the past 3 months
