    1. The common age range was 15-20. Therefore, although a range of ages wasnt well

explored, my target audience is clear. My target audience is mid to late teenagers.

    2. Most stated that they lived in Banstead, within the county of Surrey. With the exception a

few living in areas such as Sutton and Wallington. This tells me that my target audience

    is most likely English teenagers.3.

    4. Everybody stated that they were currently in college, with some saying they were at

work. Therefore, my target audience is educated to some extent, and should have at

least basic knowledge of film, and relevant issues.

    5. All said they watched short films. This is good as it means they are familiar to the format.

    6. This tells me that, although they are familiar with the format, they do not indulge in it.

Therefore, I should attempt to make my short film as different and as interesting as

    possible to engage them.

    7. This shows me that the majority like to watch short films from the comfort of their

computers. Therefore, I should make my short film accessible to everyone.

    8. I can see from this graph that

    the favoured genre is drama,

then horror. But there is also a

general variety in the genres liked by people. Therefore, my short film should be

grounded in the genre of drama, with aspects of horror.

    9. A variety of answers were given for this question. One individual said they were most

interested by coming of age films, as they enjoy seeing how children deal with adult

situations. Another said they were engaged by issues of class and status, such as

poverty, and how theyre dealt with. These are all relevant social issues to today, and

it is interesting to see that the majority liked to see how these issues were dealt with,

both by the characters and the filmmaker. Therefore, I could explore relevant issues to

    engage people more.

    10. From this graph I can see that the majority are familiar with short films, and have

    watched a diverse variety.

    11. Other short film seen include: Antonios Breakfast, Soft, and The Most Beautiful Man In

The World. This shows me that my target audience is educated in short films, and are

    good at exploring their own.

    12. The most common answer was About A Girl because the ending was shocking, and itmade you think about peoples situations and how they differ. Therefore, I might do well

to shock the audience, but in a way that makes them think about relevant issues.

    13. One individual stated that characters and situations could be represented in a different

and interesting way maybe more surreal, but still conveying true issues. Another

answer was that the working class are represented too much. Therefore, I should try to

explore a wider representation of different people and classes, giving my short film

    more social extension.

    14. The fact that I have a time limit of 5 minutes for my short film is good as people said they

liked the length of short films. This is because they are long enough to hold your

    attention.
