Welcome to Augusta University! I am so excited for you to partake in Panhellenic Recruitment this year. This organization allows individuals to form friendships, develop leadership skills, participate in philanthropic events, and excel academically. The chapters on campus are ecstatic to meet you and welcome you into their sisterhood. This is such an exciting experience, so have a
great time and good luck!
Pan love, Allie Cohen
I am so excited to welcome you to the Greek Community at Augusta University! Going Greek provides you with a number of experiences and opportunities. It will broaden your horizon to make new friends, to try new things, to create those ‘college memories’, and to break outside your current comfort zone. The leadership skills I have gained while in Greek officer positions are incomparable to those from other organizations. Getting involved on campus is crucial during your collegiate time, and going Greek is a great way to do so. If you haven’t made this decision to go through recruitment yet, I encourage you to consider signing up; do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns! I look forward to getting to know each of you better and becoming Panhellenic sisters.
Pan love, Tori Gaw

Preference
& Bid Day
During the first day of Recruitment, you
will get the opportunity to visit both
sororities with your recruitment group.
You will be greeted at each chapter with
songs and chants as you are welcomed
into the party! The focus of this day is on
sisterhood, so be sure to ask questions
and start to picture yourself as a sister of
the organizations you are visiting.
During the second day of Recruitment,
you will have the opportunity to talk
with the chapter(s) you are visiting
regarding their philanthropic efforts and
how to get involved with it!
Preference will give you a deeper understanding of the values and rituals of
the chapter(s) you are visiting. This is the time to ask tough questions that
will help you choose your forever home. This is an important day not only
for you, but for the chapters also. After visiting the chapter(s), you will
complete a membership preference sheet, which will be explained more in
depth later on.
Bid day is the best day! Here you will receive your official invitation to join a
sorority. The Rho Gammas will give you more instructions on where to be.
Family and friends are welcome to attend the bid day ceremony!
WHAT TO W EAR For Open House the attire is up to you!
This night will be the first time you get to
meet the Rho Gammas and other
women going through recruitment with
you, so dress cute, casual, and like
yourself.
Sisterhood Round (Day 1 of Recruitment)
you will wear the Panhellenic t-shirt you
receive at Open House. We recommend
pairing the t-shirt with cute bottoms that
will allow you to stay cool and comfortable.
The choice of shoes is up to you!
Philanthropy Round (Day 2 of Recruitment)
we encourage you to wear a cute,
comfortable outfit. This can be a sun dress,
flowy pants with a cute top, a romper, etc.
Again, shoe choice is all yours!
Preference (Final Day of Recruitment) will be
semi-formal. This dress code is consistent with
something that you may wear to church or a
wedding. This day is the longest and you may
be standing for a long period of time, so if
you choose to wear heels we recommend
wearing your most comfortable pair and
bringing a pair of flats as back-up.
On Bid Day (Final Day of Recruitment) you
will be given a shirt to wear. We recommend
you come to the event dressed in a cute pair
of shorts and a top that you can quickly
change out of. Shoes are up to you!
Rho Gammas
W HO T HEY ARE & W HAT T HEY DO
Recruitment is an exciting and memorable experience, but it can be a hectic
and emotional time as well. Recruitment counselors, referred to as Rho
Gammas, are women from both chapters who have stepped away from
their organization for recruitment weekend to help you through the
process. These women have been through extensive training in
preparation for recruitment weekend. They are available for you 24 hours
a day as impartial listeners, guides, and friends. You will meet the Rho
Gammas for the first time at Open House and have the opportunity to
speak with them each day of recruitment. These women are excited to get
to know you and help you find your letters!
