PAMAS Download-SoftwarePC transfer and report of particle counting results in a tableThe PAMAS Download-Software is compatible with the portable particle coun-ters PAMAS S40 and PAMAS S4031. With the aid of the software, measuring results can be transferred from the particle counter to a PC. The data are transferred at first into a text file, which can then be converted into the required format (e.g. Excel or PDF).
The programme indicates the measuring parameters that had been selected on the portable particle counting device before measurement (selectable parameters are e.g. the type of calibration, the measuring profile, the number of size channels or the cleanliness standards).
If the particle counter is calibrated as per ISO 11171 and ISO 4402, the software enables a separate report and export of the requested measuring data.
On the surface of the Download-Software, the user defines the required type of calibra-tion. A click on the option AC displays the measuring data as per ISO 4402. If the box for the option NIST is checked, the software provides measuring results as per ISO 11171.
The PAMAS Download-Software further allows to select the required clean-liness standards to be displayed along with the measuring data. Different types of clean-liness standards are available depending on the type of calibration (AC or NIST) that was selected earlier. The cleanliness standards ISO 4406:1987, NAS 1638, GJB 420A and GOST 17216 are based on the calibration standard ISO 4402 (AC), whereas the stan-dards ISO 4406:1999, SAE AS 4059 and GJB 420B are available for the NIST calibration as per ISO 11171.

The PAMAS S4031 portable particle counter is used for low viscous fluids including water or water-glycol. The instrument is calibrated as per ISO 21501, ISO 11171 or ISO 4402.
The PAMAS S40 portable particle counter analyses oil, fuel or phosphate-ester. The instrument is calibrated according to ISO 4402 and/or ISO 11171.
