ON THE COVER: CRUCIFIXION (Christ on the Cross) By: Filippino Lippi ca.: 1501

Public Domain

I would like to offer some suggestions to help you and your family to engage spiritually from home when viewing online Masses: 1. Create a sacred space in your home to view

and pray the Holy Mass. Use a crucifix, candles, flowers, holy water, holy images and statues to transform your living room into a holy temple. 2. Get ready: Put on your “Sunday best”. 3. Set-up chairs like “pews” so you can stand, kneel and sit as you would at church. 4. SING and RESPOND. The Lord is with us wherever we are, so let us worship with heart and voice. 5. Pray BEFORE the Mass begins. Take a look at the readings. It is good to quiet ourselves. 6. Silence any devices so that there are no distractions/interruptions. It may be best to leave smartphones in another room.

Finally, be JOYFUL in the Lord! Easter is coming!

May the Lord open our hearts and minds

to listen to words of His Son.

God bless Fr. Rossi

CONSECRATION TO SAINT JOSEPH

What does it mean to consecrate yourself to St. Joseph?

What does it mean for a person to be consecrated to St. Joseph? Well, it basically means that you acknowledge that he is your spiritual father, and you want to be like him. To show it, you entrust yourself entirely into his paternal care so that he can help you acquire his virtues and become holy. Total consecration to St. Joseph means you make a formal act of filial entrustment to your spiritual father so that he can take care of your spiritual well-being and lead you to God. The person who consecrates himself to St. Joseph wants to be as close to their spiritual father as possible, to the point of resembling him in virtue and holiness. Saint Joseph, in turn, will give those consecrated to him his undivided attention, protection, and guidance. https://www.consecrationtostjoseph.org/index.html Join us in preparing for the Consecration to St Joseph on May 1. If you would like to be included in the daily email reminder, send an email to [email protected].

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle.

Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.

May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly

Hosts, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl

about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.
