BACKGROUND• The main objective of this organisation is to bring a

cohesive body of artwork together which draws different cultures closer educationally and cuts out negative aspects of using social media for kids.

• It gives teachers the opportunity to review and filter the content that the children they teach are sharing, allowing for a safer learning and social environment than Facebook.

• The idea for this organization sprouted from my personal experiences with my own and others’ experiences of prejudice both at home and abroad.

• The Painted Circle believes that children can be taught to be independent without being judgemental as early as primary school, creating both positive learning and attitudes from modern social media and mobile media.

Insights and Challenges

CHALLENGES:- Large social media sites/hubs may be

limited for security reasons such as Facebook, and Twitter will be carefully managed to avoid compromising security.

- Specific mobile app costing is difficult to find, is based on many factors and may be costly with security.

- Funding/support from Victorian Dept. of Education will prove difficult, as education curriculum is taken very seriously

INSIGHTS:- Creates a safe environment for kids to

be entertained and educated by their friends and peers.

- Develops social and creative skills which reward the child outside school hours.

- Pushes the boundaries of using social media as a source of education.

- Mediation helps to find and eliminate bully or antisocial behaviour.

- Impact of community learning for children bridges gaps between schools and communities, battling future online and offline prejudice.
