Shri Shanti Saroop Gupta son of late Shri Jagan Nath Gupta was born in 1953at Jammu. He had two brothers and one sister. His father was a businessmanhaving partnership with his colleague which failed and he suffered a great loss.

He completed his matriculation but could not continue further due to financial setback. He started doing job in private sector and struggled a lot to earn the breadand butter of the family. He got married to Smt Sureshta Gupta daughter of late Shri Om Parkash Guptaresident of village Dablehar, Jammu. He was blessed with two sons and two daughters and provided them the basic education. His elder son is working in PowerDevelopment Department and second son is doing his business in Moti Bazaar,Jammu. His daughters are married in good families and are well settled.He was a very simple, gentle and hardworking person. He struggled a lot in his lifeand one stage he had to distribute the newspapers. He was still contended with thelot and remained quite thankful to God. He continued with the hard work, honestyand performing pooja-path. He used to visit the Holy Shrine of Vaishno Mata everymonth, besides visit Bawe wali Mata. He was staunch devotee of Anandpur Guru Ji.He breathed his last on April 11, 2019 after a brief ailment. He is survived by hiswife, two sons and two daughters. May God give eternal peace to the departed souland courage to the family members to bear this irreparable loss.
