Greetings Hamptonians!

It is a great honor to serve you and be a part of something so special, endearing and important to our alma mater: Reunion Weekend! On behalf of the entire Hampton University family I extend a warm invitation to you all to return to our Home by the Sea. This year, Reunion for classes of 3 and 8 is scheduled for May 10-12, 2013. I extend special greetings to the Emeritus Class and congratulations to the Golden Class, Class of 1963, on celebrating your 50th Anniversary.

Come back to “Reconnect, Reminisce, and Relive the Future” of our alma mater. We have some exciting changes this year that we hope will encourage your participation even more. Though this year brings change, we will always be loyal to the traditions that have shaped us into who we are today. A loyalty that ne’er can perish!

The number of you who make this sentimental journey – many of you from great distances – is phenomenal and speaks volumes of our Hampton experience; how much friendship matters to us, how proud we are of our Hampton education, and how much we believe in the future of our great University. Our Hampton experience lives on through our connection with each other and the realization that, as Hamptonians, we exemplify the legacy of our beloved institution.

I look forward to connecting names to your smiling faces and giving big Hampton Hugs to those new and familiar to me. I truly hope to see you during Reunion Weekend 2013!

In the Hampton Spirit, r
