Mrs. Roosevelt On Communism

By Joe Galu

If you recall my art icle of two weeks ago, you will realiz. ' whal I meant by my s t a t emen t that this talk s t a r t ed al the conventional time for all such ta lks .

There is no one best way to influence the ent i re world against the forces of Communism according to Mrs Roosevelt ( among others , i

In a reference to our open society versus ihe Russian closed society, she s ta led Dial we must be bel ter than the slogans conferred upon [)>• by the Russians.

In a light nolo she referred to the fact lhal a few y e a r s ago the Russian peoples were living under five yea r plans. These gave way lo ten yea r plans and now to a twenty yea r plan She also referred lo a dinner -he planned for Mr Krushchev where he had lime for only one bun

Football Title in 69-0

Romp Over TXO POTTERMEN SCORE «!»

Potior clinched another AAIIA Football Championship as they rolled over a valient but helpless T X 0 squad, "69"-0. D a n n y D'Angelico wrapped up the scoring title in this game that saw nine different men hit the scoring column.

The " E E P e r s ' wasted no time as D'Angelcio grabbed a pass in the end zone on the first play from scr immage . A couple of plays later il was Pal Spicci's turn to score with the extra-point coming on a pass play to Tony Macaluso. An interception with as outstanding runback by Dave Stickney brought the score lo 21-0 as the first quar ter ended

The second quar te r saw C'amar-rata hit Don Cohen and .John Vulgari ty with TD passes. Jack Mc-Manaman, Potters sticky fingered guard registered the extra point.

The men in black and white kept rolling during the second half as D'Angelico hit Kim Clifford on an /ption play to the left. Stickney

took over quar terbacking duties and threw a scoring pass to John Mcdar i ty .

The fourth quar te r proceeded to conform with the rest of the game as Camar ra t a hit Dick Mann and Pat Spicci. A scoring pass from Mike to Danny D'Angelico proved lo be the important score of the contest since it gave Danny the scoring title and gave E F P its goal of lid points.

Quarterback John Bar the lmas was the standout for TXO as he completed several passes, most of them to end Pole Peltz, but was unable to dent the Potter defense for a score.
