IntroductionIf you’re reading this, you are FINALLY at a point where you are looking to establish a sustainable income online and trying to get started ASAP. I can’t say that I blame you, there is a LOT of money to be made online, and the advent and increase in ebook readers is only going to make niche marketing even more prevalent in the coming years!

Of course the easiest way to make this happen for you is by utilizing PLR content to get a product on the market as soon as possible. Unfortunately, having the content is only half of the puzzle. You need to be able to market your content and get visitors to your website.

If you don’t learn anything else from this guide know this:

Even the BEST products will never make a $1.00 online without traffic!

Traffic is key to success online. And knowing how to get it will mean that you’ll be able to create as many websites and produce as many products as you want, knowing that the overwhelming majority of them will be successful!

So how do we get traffic?

One thing that has helped us dramatically is “thinking outside the box” with our means of traffic generation. And in this report, we’re going to share with you some of those unique strategies that we use to build traffic to our websites. Strategies that you can use too!

Traffic generally comes from a mix of paid and free sources. The paid sources could be things like banner placements, link placements or PPC advertising, which CAN convert very well but can also be very costly. So for those with little startup money, I always recommend free sources of traffic.

To get free traffic, the number one thing we do is target organic search engines, like Google.

And to increase traffic from Google, we need to rank high for the keywords people are searching for to find our product. And to get higher rankings (first page of Google), it’s all about LINKS! That is, we need links pointing back to your pages. There are other factors that contribute to ranking high in Google, but the absolute number one thing, and the thing that you should concentrate most of your SEO time on is getting links from other websites > pointing back to YOUR site.

These “backlinks” can come from a variety of different sources, such as the following:

Article marketing•Directory submissions•Press releases•Web 2.0 marketing•

Page 5: Page 1 of 30 - WordPress.com...Page 5 of 30 • Link exchanges • Participating in blog networks (sites like and other blog networks) • And more… As you gain links, you will gradually

Link exchanges•Participating in blog networks (sites like • www.myarticlenetwork.com and other blog networks)And more… •

As you gain links, you will gradually increase your Google rankings, guaranteed. Once you hit the top 5 for keywords that have decent search volume, you will start to see the flood of traffic coming in!

Across the board, the most successful sites build traffic by building more content and ranking for more keywords. And they consistently rinse and repeat the content creation and link building process to rank higher for keywords.

So that’s all well and good for those sites, right? But let’s talk about why you actually downloaded this guide.

This guide is not designed to tell you how to SEO, how to find link networks or how to setup paid PPC ad campaigns. These are important things you should learn, and that’s why we have separate courses on them. But that’s not what this report is all about.

Where this guide separates itself from others is that it’s designed to help you think outside of the box with your traffic generation and link building strategies, and tap into some “untapped” sources.

In this guide, we outline 5 Quickstart traffic methods that we have used very successfully in the past to generate significant traffic and links with NO investment.

These are techniques that your “average Joe” is NOT using and techniques that can be implemented for your business TODAY!

Thinking outside the box and being creative can result in huge floods of traffic to your website. If you utilize even 1 or 2 of the techniques we outline here in detail, you can expect to significantly impact your bottom line and improve your daily earnings.

Making money online is all about leveraging your time and applying it to the techniques that you know will work. While we know paid advertising and traditional SEO do work, we want to inject new life into your campaigns with some novel traffic sources like the ones described in the methods below.

So let’s diversify our traffic portfolios and make some money!

Quickstart Method #1:The PROPER Way to Use Linkwheels

So if you frequent forums and make the rounds through our internet marketing niche, you may have heard of these new things called linkwheels. They’re used as a method for building links to your website.

The concept has grown, and slightly been blown out of proportion since its inception, but the initial idea is to leverage the power of social media websites to funnel rank through to your website.

So what are we really talking about? Again to avoid reinventing the “wheel” (sorry for the bad pun) there’s a nice file about linkwheels that’s worth a read. You can check that out here: http://lemonarian.com/linkwheel.

So let’s assume you find a set of 6 social media sites to contribute your content to. How can you leverage that content to drive more rank?

Maybe like this, where “Focus Hub” is your website?

So in essence you are creating a funnel where you are creating value and rank to those other sites, and then pushing it around the circle and down into your website.

Page 7: Page 1 of 30 - WordPress.com...Page 5 of 30 • Link exchanges • Participating in blog networks (sites like and other blog networks) • And more… As you gain links, you will gradually

The number of the “spokes” in this wheel varies, as well as the number of cross links within the system from site to site. But the one posted above is the one I see most often and the one I’ve personally used.

You do have to think outside of the box a little bit with these, which makes them a unique and non-repeatable resource. Each one can be unique in and of itself. To get an idea of how massive these can get check this example out below…

If you want to get fancy, setup a 6-7 spoke wheel to the web 2.0 site and allow that to funnel rank without raising too many flags.

I call this as white-hat as it gets… a strong simple link building method!

Here are some good places to start:

Web 2.0 Sites

Squidoo.com, Hubpages.com, Quizilla.com, Zimbio.com, Wetpaint.com, Blinkweb.com, Weebly.com, Wikidot.com, Twine.com, Docstoc.com, Knol.google.com, Slideshare.net, Scribd.com, Esnips.com, Ehow.com

Blogging sites

Blogger.com, Wordpress.com, Livejournal.com, Vox.com, Tumblr.com, Clearblogs.com, Blog.com, Thoughts.com, Blogster.com

Video Sharing sites

Youtube.com, Dailymotion.com, Video.yahoo.com, Vids.myspace.com, Metacafe.com, Blip.tv, Veoh.com, Vimeo.com, Revver.com

Page 8: Page 1 of 30 - WordPress.com...Page 5 of 30 • Link exchanges • Participating in blog networks (sites like and other blog networks) • And more… As you gain links, you will gradually

These can be as simple or as complex as you like:

Essentially though, each of those sites will link to your site. But at the same time, they can crosslink to each other. So you’re creating this huge link wheel that eventually points to your site, building your site’s rank.

Here are a few things to keep in mind while doing this process:

Make each site • one at a time and let them get indexed firstTake your time when linking them together - don’t do it all at once•Be sure the content used is • either spun or totally uniqueSend some backlinks to your web 2.0 sites to strengthen the linkwheel (use article or directory •submissions)Ping and social bookmark • everythingSubmit any RSS feeds to RSS directories•Update your web 2.0 sites with fresh content•

Competition matters here a lot. Don’t assume that you can rank for super competitive keywords using only linkwheels. But this strategy is very unique and powerful for “mid level” keywords. Each wheel should focus on a single term and new wheels should be created for new terms.

MIX IT UP!

Do NOT retain the same linking pattern as described above for every keyword that you’re optimizing for. You do not have to link everything exactly the way it’s shown above. You should not be linking everything together in this exact pattern every time, because that’s not “natural”. And Google likes seeing natural link growth. To appear natural, break the wheel in a few places. That is, don’t cross link every web 2.0 site with each other, and do not use the same web 2.0 sites every time.

Page 9: Page 1 of 30 - WordPress.com...Page 5 of 30 • Link exchanges • Participating in blog networks (sites like and other blog networks) • And more… As you gain links, you will gradually

For instance: Squidoo and Hubpages used to be the big dogs, but they are less useful and harder to break into so be constantly looking for new link sources. There are new web 2.0 sites popping up every month.

Keep in mind I listed video sites, PDF sharing sites and blogs, so be creative and use all media when creating these wheels!

This will be a great source of links, traffic and a powerful SEO tool to improve rank.

Quickstart Method #2:Unique Twist to Social Bookmarking

As you most likely know, social bookmarking can both solidify and improve your link building, while also offering a steady stream of direct traffic.

But in this case, when I say to “social bookmarking”, we do it a bit differently than some of our competitors. Let me explain a little more first…

There are 2 excellent free services we use for making this happen quickly and easily. The first resource is www.socialmarker.com:

This is a free service that will submit your link to 215 social bookmarking services at once (well, almost at once)! Here’s a little taste of the types of sites this will submit to:

You can select the sites based on a number of factors, one of which is “dofollow”, meaning that when Google crawls those sites, your links will show as legitimate backlinks to your website, and therefore Google will ‘count’ that as a real link. These sites are all significant web properties on their own, so having your links on them looks good in Google’s eyes. Not only that, this is also a great way to get new webpages indexed in Google. More on this thought in just a bit.

Where it becomes more significant is when you amplify this tactic. Here is how I approach my web

Page 11: Page 1 of 30 - WordPress.com...Page 5 of 30 • Link exchanges • Participating in blog networks (sites like and other blog networks) • And more… As you gain links, you will gradually

promotion.

When I setup a site I try to submit the following using this tool (some times I don’t get to all of these, but doing each one of them is the goal):

My pages (each one)1. Articles posted on other websites linking to me2. Videos I have posted on YouTube.com3. Sites that have organically linked to me4. Images I have posted in flikr.com or another photo sharing website5. Web 2.0 sites I have built that point to my main site, like 6. www.hubpages.comBasically any page that links to any page on my site!7.

The idea is to add value to your website’s pages by adding value to pages that link to you. This in turn adds to your overall rank.

This will also give Google more visibility to the pages that link to you, and it assures Google that those pages are “important”.

Now, back to the indexing idea I mentioned earlier. Using social bookmarking QUICKLY indexes webpages in Google. These social bookmarking sites are crawled very often, and thus Google indexes the links being submitted.

We take this idea one step further. What we do is find webpages that are linking to our website, but ones that are not yet indexed in Google. We’ll take those pages that aren’t indexed yet (the URL of those pages) and submit them to various social bookmarking websites. Quickly, those pages get indexed in the search engines, thus providing our website with another powerful backlink!

The best part about this is that it’s super quick and easy to do.

So where do you get these “unknown” and “not indexed” sites that have links to your sites? There are several sites, but again, you need to be creative here and think outside the box. Below, I’ve provided a list of 20 sites that you can use with this method.

Use Meta Search Engines to find pages with your links. This is a great way to find a page containing a link to your website. Here’s what you do:

Do a search for your domain that you want to get a link for. You’ll then be taken to the search •results page. On this search results page, you’ll most likely see a direct link to the domain that you searched •for. This search results page is the one you’re going to be submitting to social bookmarking sites. •So just copy the URL of that page, and start submitting!•

BONUS QUICKSTART TIP: 20 Instant free links from the sites below (using the strategy mentioned above)

Got a few minutes to spare? Then you have about 20 free links! In addition to the links below, you should do your own research to find meta search engines and other sites Take each of the following URL’s and replace YOURDOMAIN.com with the domain name for your website. If you’re looking to get your site indexed or just looking for a few more links, this is one that I ALWAYS use to start my link building campaigns off!

http://www.statbrain.com/www.yourdomain.comhttp://www.websiteoutlook.com/www.yourdomain.comhttp://www.builtwith.com/?yourdomain.com http://snapshot.compete.com/yourdomain.comhttp://www.aboutus.org/yourdomain.comhttp://www.quantcast.com/yourdomain.comhttp://www.cubestat.com/www.yourdomain.comhttp://whois.tools4noobs.com/info/yourdomain.comhttp://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/yourdomain.comhttp://www.alexa.com/data/details/?url=yourdomain.comhttp://www.siteadvisor.cn/sites/yourdomain.com/summary/http://whois.domaintools.com/yourdomain.comhttp://www.aboutdomain.org/backlinks/yourdomain.com/http://www.whoisya.com/yourdomain.comhttp://www.who.is/whois-com/yourdomain.comhttp://www.robtex.com/dns/yourdomain.com.htmlhttp://www.zimbio.com/search?q=yourdomain.com&btnG=Searchhttp://whois.ws/whois-info/ip-address/yourdomain.com/http://whoisx.co.uk/yourdomain.com http://searchanalytics.compete.com/site_referrals/yourdomain.com

Take statbrain.com as an example, where I’m using www.MYWEBSITE.com . You can see my link posted here:

This page URL is a backlink to your website. So take that statbrain.com URL and submit it to several social bookmarking websites. By doing this, you will quickly get that URL indexed, and Google will see it as a one-way backlink to YOUR site. Rinse and Repeat with the next URL.

Page 13: Page 1 of 30 - WordPress.com...Page 5 of 30 • Link exchanges • Participating in blog networks (sites like and other blog networks) • And more… As you gain links, you will gradually

Don’t underestimate the amount of traffic and links built that this can generate. The catch with using tools like socialmarker.com is that you will have to setup one time accounts for most of these social bookmarking sites.

Another service that automates this process for you is www.onlywire.com.

This can work as an alternative to www.socialmarker.com, but SocialMarker is in essence a “semi-automated service” whereby it simplifies the copying and pasting of the actual bookmark content from site to site.

The advantage of Onlywire is that it automates the process more, but it only does so to 30 websites vs. 215 for Socialmarker. This can be really appealing to some of us despite the smaller site reach.

Either tool you choose, the same rules from above apply as to what you submit. How you submit is simple. Each site will give you a similar prompt like this:

The title must contain the keyword that you want that page to rank for.•

Page 14: Page 1 of 30 - WordPress.com...Page 5 of 30 • Link exchanges • Participating in blog networks (sites like and other blog networks) • And more… As you gain links, you will gradually

The link is obvious. It’s the URL of the webpage you’re submitting. In the case of the meta •search engines submission tip, it would be the URL of the search results page, where you found the link pointing to your website.

The text should describe the contents of that page, but • also contain the keyword you’re trying to rank for.

Tags should list the keyword, as well as variations of it.•

If you outsource your SEO and traffic generation strategies, this is a great one to outsource! And it’s a simple process once its setup. The gains you can achieve far outweigh the time it takes. You can be sure MOST, if not all webmasters will not be doing this to the extent we talked about. Take a step above your competition by thinking outside the box.

Quickstart Method #3:Getting Easy, Front Page Listings in Digg!

Let’s be honest… Digg.com is an interesting animal and thousands upon thousands of people are using it to increase exposure to their sites. But that doesn’t mean you can’t reach the first page and get a TON of traffic from their site.

Note: This method I’m about to show you works very similar on sites like StumbleUpon(http://www.stumbleupon.com) and Reddit (http://www.reddit.com), so you should use it there as well.

Digg.com is a social network just as much as Facebook or Myspace. You may or may not know it but Digg has a “friend” network just like those sites do! One of the key aspects of doing well in Digg is networking with people. But that’s not the only important aspect of Digg… not by a longshot.

So what do most guides on Digg talk about? They usually tell you to…

Talk about something interesting and people will Digg it 1. (wrong)Be the first to post a big Digg story and people will Digg it 2. (wrong)Use a picture of a hot chick and people will Digg your story 3. (ok, this one helps a little)Get links to your Digg post to help boost it 4. (wrong)etc…5.

All these things may or may not help because at the end of the day there are other mitigating factors determining your success with Digg.

To understand this, we need to look at some stats from di66.net (http://www.di66.net). Di66.net is a website that collects data from Digg about the most popular Digg users, topics, site sources and even the most popular keywords and topics covered by Digg. I personally learned a lot about Digg just from reviewing the stats listed here, and they will be critical to understanding the process necessary to get you front-page listings on Digg.

When you head over to di66.net, you can separate the stats by 4 date ranges. In this example, I’ll show you the 30-day range.

Page 16: Page 1 of 30 - WordPress.com...Page 5 of 30 • Link exchanges • Participating in blog networks (sites like and other blog networks) • And more… As you gain links, you will gradually

The famed “MrBabyMan” is the #1 digger in almost all lists I have ever seen, and look at those numbers he’s putting up!! Keep in mind this is over 30 days, but in that time frame he has dugg 85K stories.

That’s a whopping 2,849 stories per day!!

That is of course not accounting for the number of comments he’s made, which exceeds 9,000. That is one prolific digger, “a power digger”.

Now - take a look at these stats from his profile:

Page 17: Page 1 of 30 - WordPress.com...Page 5 of 30 • Link exchanges • Participating in blog networks (sites like and other blog networks) • And more… As you gain links, you will gradually

29% of his submissions are made popular. He carries a LOT of weight in this community. The same pattern can be said for the other top diggers in that list. They have LOTS of diggs and comments, while having significantly fewer submissions.

This brings us to our first premise of Digg:Digg lesson #1 – Digg and comment, and you shall be friended

Friends will make or break a digg story. But how do you get friends?

When you submit a story to digg, it goes into queue for review and “staging” so to speak. It will not automatically go to page 1 no matter what happens. If you submit and it gets enough Diggs, it will go into queue for page 1. It generally takes around 100 active friends to reach this level.

You’ll notice this about MrBabyMan’s profile as well:

Page 18: Page 1 of 30 - WordPress.com...Page 5 of 30 • Link exchanges • Participating in blog networks (sites like and other blog networks) • And more… As you gain links, you will gradually

Notice how his friends are labeled as “Active now!”? This means when MrBabyMan submits a story, his friends are around to review it! This makes a HUGE difference to be friends with active users vs. small time users.

Digg lesson #2 – Become friends with Active Users to your profile

Let’s say I sell dog training materials, ebooks or products. I find a good dog training related topic that was Dugg and check it out. The main thing I look at is “Who dugg that story?”

You can find this below the story (see screenshot below).

I pull through this list and send a Friend Request to ALL these people who are digging stories like the ones I plan on submitting.

Page 19: Page 1 of 30 - WordPress.com...Page 5 of 30 • Link exchanges • Participating in blog networks (sites like and other blog networks) • And more… As you gain links, you will gradually

I will also find the user who submitted this story and add his friends as my friends:

If users are not active OR have not been active in a while, you should pass them up. They’ll do you no good because you need Active Friends.

Digg lesson #3 – The more active in Digg you are, the easier it will be to get top Digg listings.

Keep in mind there are services that mimic this scenario, but you can do it yourself with just a little time each day. Remember, the point of doing all of this is to get your submitted articles/stories to the front page of Digg. So by doing much of this prior to submitting your own stories, you are more likely to quickly boost to the front page, which is where all the traffic is.

So what you need to do to be Active yourself is go to Digg. Search for niche-related stories and comment on them, on a regular basis. You are building a resource that you will be able to tap into later

Page 20: Page 1 of 30 - WordPress.com...Page 5 of 30 • Link exchanges • Participating in blog networks (sites like and other blog networks) • And more… As you gain links, you will gradually

on.

Now, let’s talk about submissions themselves. There is a common misconception to Digg, which is “you can submit anything and get it to the top of Digg”. How many people have done this and gotten no Digg’s at all?

I know I have. Plenty of times. So that’s why I stopped using that strategy.

Here’s one piece of info that will enlighten how you can better position your Digg’s before submitting and REALLY increase your chances of getting popular stories.

Let’s head back to http://www.di66.net and check out the “Digg’s Top Sources”

These are the top places of content where the highest number of diggs are coming from.

Want to know how some of the most prevalent Diggers get top stories all the time? They scrape these sites and post any and all stories that come out everyday! Wired.com, nytimes.com and cracked.com are all great examples of sites where content is ALWAYS popular on Digg.

The source of the topic plays a huge role here. So don’t digg your website

Digg lesson #4 – Don’t Digg your website

This may come as a surprise but it’s a VERY important lesson here.

Notice I didn’t say “don’t Digg your CONTENT”. I said don’t Digg your site.

Page 21: Page 1 of 30 - WordPress.com...Page 5 of 30 • Link exchanges • Participating in blog networks (sites like and other blog networks) • And more… As you gain links, you will gradually

Basically your chances of getting your site to be popular on Digg are poor. But getting something like a YouTube.com video, a Flikr.com image or an Imgur.com image popular are pretty good! So put your content up on these highly popular Digg source sites and then when you submit content, Digg that content.

Digg lesson #5 – Post your content hosted from Youtube.com or Flikr.com to increase your odds of getting your content Dugg!

Your website is not as cool to everyone else as you may think, so play the odds and just use the more popular sites to serve your content.

Digg lesson #6 – Don’t submit your content until you have established a base

By a base, I mean you have gotten some active followers, Dugg a bunch of stories, and actually commented on other stories. I can’t stress enough that being active makes a massive difference at Digg.

An active user is perceived as having better content, which is why if I submit the same story as MrBabyMan, his will get promoted, but mine will get ignored.

Digg lesson #7 – Know your target audience

So with all of the above being in place, knowing that we are targeting very qualified visitors means that we need to be providing, unique, fun, cool or at the very least, incredibly useful content. Even the most powerful Digger cannot promote bad content; so if you are setting up a story on Digg, make sure it’s something that most of your users will find valuable.

Content is always going to be king and in a social world. Once you bypass the politics of the system, you still need to have something intriguing enough to bring users in. And once you hit that first page of Digg, be sure your servers are ready for a blast of traffic and the barrage of links because they will be soon to follow!

Quickstart Method #4:A Sneaky, Effective Way to Use Facebook Groups

We all know the stats about the size and the reach of Facebook. It’s been hammered at us until we’re practically blue in the face. So I’m not going to spend time reviewing these stats with you, nor will I spend time telling you how to setup a Facebook account because as we all know this is a simple task anyone can do.

www.facebook.com

What I will tell you about is an exploit that will allow you to get visibility to a very large number of peoplem capable of driving a LOT of traffic to your website in a very short amount of time.

If you don’t already know about it Facebook has a section dedicated to groups. This is a VERY popular section that’s closely integrated into the setup of the accounts and also tightly linked to Facebook search.

Here is a good example on a niche specific Facebook group:

Or consider this one if you think this is a fluke:

Page 23: Page 1 of 30 - WordPress.com...Page 5 of 30 • Link exchanges • Participating in blog networks (sites like and other blog networks) • And more… As you gain links, you will gradually

You can find these groups simply by entering the topic in the search field at Facebook. These groups have the capacity to get VERY large, VERY quickly.

Maybe not to this extent, but check out some of these numbers:

In April, www.insidefacebook.com posted a story showing 25 groups with well over 1 million members setup by users just like you:http://www.insidefacebook.com/2009/04/20/the-25-facebok-groups-with-over-1-million-members/

The takeaway is that groups can go viral. Here is how you make it happen and make the most of it.

1. Select your group topic – This is where you decide what you will target and how you will approach your niche.

If you sell dog training guides or products, you don’t want to create a dog training group.

Instead, you want to create a group that will bring in dog lovers virally without asking them to buy. Maybe something like this:

“Petition Against People Running Dog Fighting Rings”

2. Naming your group – This is vital to your success. If you look at popular groups, they all have a good hook to the name. It’s either a nostalgic, political, controversial or an enticing concept. Look at the 25 groups with 1 million+ users listed before:

Let’s break a Guinness Record! 2010! The Largest Group on Facebook!•Six Degrees Of Separation – The Experiment•Feed a Child with just a Click!•2.4 MILLION STRONG GROUP FOR GENERAL DISCUSSION. INVITE ALL!•We Will Not Pay To Use Facebook. We Are Gone If This Happens ►► INVITE ALL!•

If you remember this you grew up in the 90’s … ->hahagreat.com•I Dont care How Comfortable Crocs Are, You Look Like A Dumbass. ->fan FHS•I Want To Punch Slow Walking People In The Back Of The Head•I Love to party – Let’s find 10,000,000 people strong!•1,000,000 Strong For Stephen T Colbert•I bet I can still find 1,000,000 people who dislike George Bush!•

Notice a few little things. Titles all use “camel case”, like: The Dog Runs Towards the Car.

Just like Adwords, this draws more attention to your title. Also, be sure to include a call to action in your group name. Then list a number like 1,000,000 strong or 1,000,000 people or maybe like – 10,000 Signatures Required Petition Against New Cell Phone Law. These are just examples of course. The remaining topic examples above engage a large set of users by default, like the 90’s music, Facebook user or Guinness Book examples.

It’s all about engaging your users and thinking outside of the box!

4. Write your description and news – (see the screenshot below). Again, this is where you need to engage users to signup to your group. The title gets the click but the description closes the door!

The Crocs one is a great example for a lot of reasons:

They are doing a couple of good things here. They are actively asking people to join both the group and the fan page (which we will also be creating by the way!) and they are asking people to invite friends.

Don’t be afraid to just ask!

For news, write something about trying to hit a membership target. Set deadlines to try to reach benchmarks like 10,000 members before the end of the month to try and spark more growth. With a viral title, this will be easy.

5. Gaining Steam – For this to work you need to start the trickle of friends. You can do this a couple of ways. The first and easiest way to do this is to network and notify all your existing friends about your group. Since Facebook promotes social networking and makes everything very visible, this will work better than you think, so start here and see how things go… organically.

If you’re not very patient, there are ways to build friends a LOT faster. Ever hear of games like Mafia Wars or Farmville? Well they are HUGE on Facebook and people are looking to grow their friend counts all the time because of it. If you search for either one you can find friend exchange groups that you can become a part of to build up your friend count!

I was able to find 3-4 of these in 2 minutes!

You could also join other groups and constantly add new friends through those groups, manually resulting in a much more responsive group of your own.

If you want to get people involved, you can offer influential users that have lots of friends to be “officers” of your group!

As an “officer”, all they can really do is post videos and links, which is harmless to your success but doing so will get them involved and get them into promoting your group.

6. Make a page for your group – Groups are great and viral, but they have an inherent problem, Facebook limits the number of users that you can contact at 5,000. So you should create a Facebook page for your Group. Send your “groupies” to your page, and then continually build the group without limits.

THEN you can contact everyone in the group with no limits!

Post something like “If you like this group you will definitely like this page – become a fan!”

7. “Bringing it home” – Mix in messages about your content as posts to the group. Be sure to never push your products. Push your content and allow that to sell your products.

With a targeted group, you can easily pull a TON of great free traffic to your website in a very short amount of time!

Quickstart Method #5:Funneling Google Image Traffic to Your Site

This is another one of those often overlooked sources of GREAT traffic that you can jump on TODAY. Most, if not all, of us have images on our websites that can potentially be pulling traffic on their own.

A few things to note about image rank is that you will need to consider targeting long-tail keywords.

However, don’t think you can do this and immediately rank for “running shoes” or “blenders” because that is not likely to happen. Also note that not all topics will work well with image related search.

If you consider things like tattoos, physical products, art, posters, etc…people will use image search heavily. Just like the Digg example, you need to think outside of the box a little with your niche, and consider what types of images people may be searching for that relate to what you want to sell.

If you sell snoring products, use pictures of the “tools” that snorers use, like mouth guards or special snoring pillows. If you are promoting a dating site you would want to put pictures of really good looking people. This brings me to my next point:

Be sure you have rights to all images you use!

Buy them, outsource them or get them from free sources (a few are listed below) but be sure you can use them or you will get a nasty legal letter from the original owner.

In addition, searchers browse WAY into Google Image results. That is, unlike a regular Google search, visitors who are searching for images usually go well beyond page 1 of the results. So

your chance of being seen is much higher in images than in regular search.

And it’s actually really simple to optimize your images to rank well. Take the following steps for the keyword(s) you want to rank for.

1. Name the image file as your keyword: Use the format keyword.jpg where if your term was “blue suede shoes” the image would be called “blue-suede-shoes.jpg”.

Page 28: Page 1 of 30 - WordPress.com...Page 5 of 30 • Link exchanges • Participating in blog networks (sites like and other blog networks) • And more… As you gain links, you will gradually

2. Use the keyword ALT tag function: Use the same keyword in the alt tag. If you’re not sure what an ALT tag is, just Google it and you’ll find a lot more info about it. Here’s the general code you would use in this example:

<img src=”http://website.com/blue-suede-shoes.jpg“ alt=”blue suede shoes”>

3. Use the full URL and specify height and width:

Using the same example, it would be something like this:

<img src=”http://website.com/blue-suede-shoes.jpg“ alt=”blue suede shoes” height=”300” width=”300”>

4. Add a title containing your keyword:

<img src=”http://website.com/blue-suede-shoes.jpg“ alt=”blue suede shoes” height=”300” width=”300” title=”blue suede shoes”>

5. Put a description right next to the image containing the keyword: If you are putting the image in a table be sure the description is in the same cell as the image. If not, just put it as close to the image as possible.

6. Basic on-page optimization for your keyword: Page title, H1 and keyword focus need to align with the image.

7. Use large, clear images: I try to shoot for over 300x300 pixel images mainly because the clarity will be better in image search

8. REMOVE THE GOOGLE FRAME! ** This is a big one. **Be sure you setup a redirect so that if someone clicks on your image from their Google search, you will actually get the traffic instead of Google just “framing” it. Use the following code on your page:

<script language=”JavaScript1.1″ type=”text/JavaScript”>if (parent.frames.length > 0) top.location.replace(document.location);</script>

This prevents this issue from happening:

Page 29: Page 1 of 30 - WordPress.com...Page 5 of 30 • Link exchanges • Participating in blog networks (sites like and other blog networks) • And more… As you gain links, you will gradually

There are ways to ramp this up of course.

You could even throw in links to your images in article submissions (DIRECT links to images not •the pages images are on). You could ping and submit those image links to social bookmarking services as described in this •reportYou could also submit your images to • www.flikr.com, www.photobucket.com and www.picasaweb.comYou could add a blue border around your picture to make it look more “clickable”•

If you are hurting for images here is a great list of “mostly” free rights image sites. Be sure to check out the licensing rights of the sites that you’re going to use an image from:

ConclusionFor those that think this is too much work, then I would say to just forget about it... but there is an option for the extremely lazy people out there as well... Just outsource it!

These 5 things are all “cookie cutter” strategies that can be repeated by basically anyone. So, just go through these methods and create a screen cam video for an employee, and say “go do this”, and you’ll be set to go.

That‘s all for now. I hope you‘ve enjoyed reading this guide, as I‘ve tried to pick 5 of the most straightforward, “out of the box” foolproof methods for generating traffic online. While some of you may have known about a few of these, I hope this will motivate you to take action on those things you already knew or “thought” might be effective, but have never tried. A cornerstone of any marketer’s success is taking action. And although this guide is loaded with powerful “out of the box” techniques, it all becomes useless without action.

My advice to you is this: choose a method and run with it!

Since these techniques are outside the realm of “normal” traffic generation and link building techniques, they can potentially result in a subtle, yet large increase in revenue in a short amount of time. Now go get started! :-)
