Country 102.5’s 2007 Country Cares for St. Jude Kids two-day radiothon at Jordan’s Furniture in Reading by country station Country 102.5 WKLB generated over $740,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. St. Jude is a world leader in catastrophic

in New England.

Last Thursday and Friday, March 8‘h and gth at the Reading, MA location of Jordan’s Furniture, Country 102.5 WKLB broadcast live from 6am to 7pm each day to raise

money for the hospital. Through emotional family stories and Country 102.5 personality pleas, Country 102.5 listeners and Jordan’s Furniture customers signed up

to become St. Jude “Partners In Hope,” donating $30 per month for a year. Additionally, country artists such as Danielle Peck, Dusty Drake and Kellie Pickler

performed live, attracting even more fans and donors to the store.

able to continue their unbelievable work. We are glad that we could be a part of it.”

”The Country 102.5 staff is extremely proud of the generosity of the country music audience in and around Boston,” says Country 102.5 Promotions Director Marie

Dear Dave:

Thank you so much for your assistance in regard to Jobs for Maine’s Graduates’ National Science Foundation grant application. Your willingness to provide us with a letter of interest is very much appreciated.

Here at JMG, we are very excited about the prospect of producing a regional science program and to have it air in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. We should h o w if JMG will be awarded the NSF grant in September. We will be sure to let you h o w the outcome of our application. Whether we receive the grant or not, we certainly appreciate the efforts of WMTW on our behalf.

By the way, I think Channel 8 is looking mighty impressive these days. Great coverage of the BRAC commission and other breaking news. Keep up the good work!

Enjoy the summer!

Ken, just a note to say how much WE! appreciate Jeff and Tory's appearances at our "Alive at Five" concert series. Their presence is a wonderful kick-off each Thursday night. It's terrific to have a media sponsor close enough to the event to participate. Each concert reaches a different demographic with last week's and this week's appealing to the 35-55 age group although I have been surprised at the wide variety of age groups that attend the concerts (free music is always a draw I've determined). Thanks again for the station's support. Jan

Thank you for your question

We are always looking for new ways to better serve our viewers, and our First Warning Weather team (Tom Chisholm, Matt Zidle, and Gray Stabley) are always looking at which areas to cover in our weather mapping and forecasting. We obviously try to deal with as many areas as possible. I can assure you that we will revisit the issue of how much time we are currently spending on the mid-state area.

On the subject of weather-I encourage you to tune in to News 8 WMTW on Tuesday night at 8 p.m. for "New England's Most Extreme Weather-Summer Edition". This program is hosted by Chief Meteorologist Tom Chisholm and the entire First Warning Weather team. The program features stories on hurricanes, lightning, summer storms, and smallkraft safety in New England's summer weather.

BOYS &GIRLS CLUB OF AUBURNREWISTON

July 8, 2005

Mr. Kenneth W. Bauder President - General Manager ABC 8 WMTW 99 Danville Corner Road P.O. Box 8 Auburn, ME 0421 1-0008

Dear Ken.

Boys and Girls Club of AuburnlLewiston gratefully acknowledges your generous donation dated May 31, 2005 in the amount of $300.00 representing full payment of your pledge to this year's Steak & Burger dinner.

The Steak & Burger dinner provides an opportunity for Club members to enjoy a healthy on-site meal, and to interact with caring and supportive adults. Creating opportunities to succeed is what the Boys & Girls Club does best. Last year, more than 400 area children, many of whom come from disadvantaged circumstances, participated in a variety of activities at the Club, including the Steak & Burger Dinner. Proceeds from this event are used to support our operating budget so that we may continue to offer quality programs to our members, which provides them with the ability to raise their aspirations and realize their full potential as informed, responsible and caring citizens.

On behalf of the board, the event committee, and all the Club members, thank you for helping to make the evening a great success.

Sincerely,

i !Jim Costello. Jr. Event Chair

Dear Ken:

It was a pleasure meeting you the other day. As the new kid on the block, I am looking forward to furthering the wonderful relationship your station and The Salvation Army has enjoyed.

As you know, The Giving Tree has had great success over the years and any expansion or enhancement of the program simply translates into more children receiving a gift for Christmas. Your support has enabled The Salvation Army to reach out to thousands of needy youngsters each year.

I'm sorry you won't be able to come to our Open House at Camp Sebago on the 1 lth. Hopefully, Dave will be able to attend. However, any time you would like to visit this jewel I will be happy to set that up.

All the best,

Craig H. Evans, APR Development Director

Thank you for your note. We are always looking for new ways to better serve our viewers, and your suggestion regarding our weather maps is a good one. We are in the process of reviewing the towns that appear on our maps, so I can assure you that we will include Farmington in that discussion.
