Top tips for success1.Prioritise – Ensure that the work is given a whole-school focus and that all staff are aware of the expectations that are placed upon them. Don’t try to do too many other awards at the same time!

2.Have clear deadlines – Ensure that all evidence is given to you well in advance of the deadline so you have time to pull it all together!

3.Delegate responsibilities – Ensure that you share out the main aspects of the job to all stakeholders including children and other members of the school community. Have a themed week or event to achieve several of the key targets and objectives at once.

4.Be realistic – Ensure that you are aware of and committed to spending the time that it takes to carry out the work. Having it as an “add on responsibility” does not work in the long-term.

The best thing that I have done, seen or learnt was……..Getting to know people better and what matters to them as a result of doing the work! (the children, staff, parents, members of the local community)
