NOAA-15: There were relatively no changes to the NOAA-15 payload health situation during the past week.

NOAA-15 Yaw gyro has been slightly noisier since December 2007. Daily monitoring continues, see Figure 1.

NOAA-16: There was relatively no change in the performance of the NOAA-16 payload or bus subsystems during the past week.

NOAA-17: There was relatively no change in the performance of the NOAA-17 payload or bus subsystems during the past week.

NOAA-18: There were relatively no changes to the NOAA-18 health situation during the past week.

MetOp-A: There were relatively no changes to the MetOp-A health situation during the past week.

The METOP-A AVHRR instrument experienced additional noise spikes - detectable in the non-Earth views - on December 26 and 29, 2007. These spikes were similar to the ones observed on November 27 and 29, 2007. As with the November events, the SEM instrument detected an increase in the local particle flux at the time of the noise spikes in the AVHRR. Two plots are attached depicting these noise spikes, see Figure 2-3.

The METOP-A AMSU-A1 Channel 7 has shown a slight increase in its NEdT trend over the past year. It remains well within specification, and is being monitored for any continued increase. A plot of its trend since launch is attached, see Figure 4.
