IMPORTNAT THUMB RULE FOR PACKAGING

Rule No. 1 Choose the right box size and strength.

Rule No. 2 Cushion the product inside of the box.

Rule No 3. Seal the package properly to keep the box intact and the contents secure.

Rule No.4 Label the package with complete delivery and return address information.

Rule No. 5 Label the box/package with precautionary stickers, If necessary.

• If you can dismantle the furniture (sofa, chair etc.), you should disassemble legs & pieces.

• Pack the legs and arms in a separate box and use EP/bubble wrap sheets.

• Put hardware (nuts, bolts, and screws) in small sealed envelope or poly bag and place in box with legs/arms.

• Place corrugate cardboard end caps/edge protectors for sofas & furniture on sharp corners.

• Then cover the piece of furniture in a woven sack to protect the fabric and wood. It is recommended that you use furniture poly bags (minimum of 1-mil thick) or padded covers to minimize soil and tears to sofas, couches and chairs.

• Label each box and bag with the product description along with complete sender and recipient information (see Rule of Thumb 4 above) which will specify the furniture piece to which they will have to be used.

• Then, place them together on a skid or other shipping base (or crate).

• Place mattresses and box springs in professional covers (poly bags or cardboard box). • Use packaging or shipping tape to ensure a strong seal.

o Pick the product & open the product as shown

o Products are wrapped in bubble wrap to prevent it from breaking o Wrapped products are now put into the carton box depending

upon its size and filled with thermocol sheets/balls to avoid movement of product.

o Seal / Tape the box as before and cover it with bubble wrap in order to avoid any damages during transit. Also label with precautionary stickers if required.

• If single product, the product should be first covered with clear wrap followed by bubble wrap (Fig.1)

• Place the wrapped product inside the box and filled with thermocol sheets/ balls so that it cannot move. Also label it with precautionary stickers, if required. (Fig.2)

• Final step is to wrap the box with Zimply polybag and then its ready for dispatch.
