The Canmore Illusions Gymnastics Club provides our participants with quality instruction in an exciting

environment that is built around camaraderie. CIGC strives to ensure that our coachng staff is of the

highest calibre enabling us to expand our competive and recreational programs.

Who are we?In 1994, former Head Coach Marti Przibislawsky, started

an after school gymnastics program at Elizabeth Rummel Elementary School. One year later, an advanced group

from that program formed a small pre-competitive group and started to use the gymnastics facilities then available at the Canmore Recreation Centre. In September 1996,

a Parent’s Committee was formed and the Club was registered under the Societies Act under the name Rocky Mountain Illusions Gymnastics Club. In 2000, we changed

our name to Canmore Illusions Gymnastics Club.

enrich our community fabric.

strengthening our foundation in gymnastics and continuing to grow our programming.

Since moving into our new home it has enabled us to gain momentum and increased enrollment as well as improve

the quality of our programming. By supporting our growth in members CIGC aims to provide additional

programming opportunities and acquire new and additional equipment.

More Than a New Home! – CIGC aims to create a social hub where residents and visitors of Canmore, both long-term and short-term, can connect resulting

in a vibrant and welcoming community. We offer a variety of activities that include: competitive, pre-school,

recreational and specialty programs in a community space that is suitable for families and people of all ages.

CIGC has moved into our new space! Growing from 156 students five years ago to approximately 371 in 2014, you can see the momentum that

CIGC has built in its membership base.
