ABOUT THE INSTITUTION

PAAVAI ENGINEERING COLLEGE was started in the

year 2001 and promoted by PAVAI VARAM EDUCATIONAL

TRUST with the basic principle of providing purposeful, goal-

oriented technical education and establishing a center of

excellence in Engineering & Technology. The college has the

vision to strive to be a globally model institution all set for

taking ‘lead-role’ in grooming the younger generation socially

responsible and professionally competent to face the

challenges ahead.

The college is approved by AICTE, accredited by

NBA and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. Currently, the

Institute offers 8 UG and 10 PG programmes in Engineering .

The department of Engineering and Management studies

are recognized as approved research centres by Anna

University to offer Ph.D programmes. It has established itself

in 15th position among the Engineering colleges in Tamil

Nadu and 36th position all over India in a survey of Industries

linked Engineering Institute. It has obtained various research

grants from AICTE, TNSCST and other funding agencies.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Department of Electronics and communication

Engineering was started in the year 2001. The department is

offering B.E (ECE), M.E (Applied Electronics) and M.E (VLSI

Design). The department is enriched with latest lab

equipments and promotes R&D activities in related areas in

collaboration with industries, wherever possible. The

department has been accredited by NBA and it strives to

provide ample opportunity to the students exploring and

exploiting new avenues in the field of ECE. The faculty

members are well - experienced and dedicated towards the

upliftment of the student community. The students are

exposed to the practical and industrial aspects of the

subjects through laboratory work and periodic industrial

visits.

LOCATION OF THE INSTITUTION

The Institution is located on NH-7, 30 Kms from Salem,

18 Kms from Namakkal, 7 Kms from Rasipuram and 50 Kms

from Erode.

OBJECTIVE

This seminar aims at addressing the trends and

developments of Artificial Intelligence in Video Image

Processing for Warfare Applications which enhances the

learning pursuits of Researchers & Faculty.

Video Image processing is one of the emerging areas of

Research in Science and Technology. The improvement in

the performance of video applications depends upon

synergizing Artificial Intelligence control strategies.

Participants may be a faculty or a PG student in any

University or AICTE approved institutions.
