This is our 2nd year that PAARC provided a demo HF station for the fair. The location is in Creamery, Montgomery County, Pa. We were able to demonstrate SDR radio and a QRP HF station set up. Provided by Jerry -WA2TTI and Debbie- N3ZZX. The team also set up our clubs HF station: Icom –718 with a 40/20 meter dipole with feed point at 30 ‘ up. Two meter HTs on hand to demonstrate our re- peater. We used a generator to demonstrate emergency simulated radio station set up in a remote location. Next year I will add a solar charged batteries. Involved club members this year: Melody-KB3SJR,Ben-E3KQ, Wes-N3HWH, Jerry-WA2TTI,Debbie-N3ZZX,Nate-N2ADD,Ed-K3BVQ,Walt-KC3DGC,Alex- KA2VLP,Aidan-KB3UMD, Bill-W3FRB,Ed-N3WXW,Bob-K3DBD This year we set up for two days, Friday and Saturday. On Friday daytime, buses come in with groups from summer camps and senior groups. Friday is an oppor- tunity to demo to Youngsters and Seniors, to try to get them on the microphone. We used two meter FM simplex During dead band conditions on HF. I do not think the Kids figured it out I was in my truck! Ed-K3BVQ picked up a couple of names for future our clubs monthly presenta- tion's. We also had a few people who seemed really interested in attending a meet- ing. Overall it was a success! Thank you all who contributed. Especially Wes- N3HWH .Wes, got this ball rolling last year with the 4H with the inial contact.
