The relation between the partner emblem and your logo is clearly defined. Please respect the specific rules.

For partner media, the position of the partner emblem depends on the position of the partner logo. The following position is preferred:

Partner logo and partner emblem are arranged vertically one above the other, with themaximum possible spacing between the two.

Ideally, the partner logo is at the top (e.g. at top format margin) and the partner emblem at the bottom (e.g. on bottom margin).

If the prescribed position of the partner logo is on the bottom margin, the partner emblemshould be at the top.

The emblem and logo should only be positioned laterally to one another if a vertical arrangement is not possible.

The partner logo and partner emblem must not be arranged diagonally opposite one another.

As a rule, the partner emblem is placed at a considerable distance below the partner logo (company logo). If the emblem is superimposed on pictures, ensure that the backgroundcolors are subtle and provide a good contrast.

Your advertisements: as topical as today’s newspaper.The advertisement size, the copy and visuals, the medium itself, the occasion, and the placementdetermine the concept for an ad. With creativity and professional support, it will always bepossible to work out a strong design solution that ensures that the partner emblem achievesan optimum effect. Above all, the partner emblem is intended to help set your company apartfrom its rivals. The partner emblem achieves this effect particularly well if it appears in theadvertisement in an appropriate size and is given sufficient space. Wherever you use the partneremblem in your advertising, it should always emphasize that your company is cooperatingsuccessfully with Siemens Enterprise Communications. Your trade fairs and exhibitions: A good forum for new target groupsThe positioning of the shared partner emblem is determined by the layout and size of thetrade fair stand. Your logo and the partner emblem are placed closer together than on othermedia, but the partner emblem is always below the logo.

The partner emblem should be positioned approximately at eye level to the visitor. Here, too,the fundamental principle is that the partner emblem should be restrained but neverthelessreadily visible, and only one such logo should be visible from any given angle.

There are two design versions for covers and back pages. We recommend that you use ver-sion A in most cases.

Version AIn this layout the sender can be immediately identified. The reader immediately knows who the printed materials are from. The cover page carries only the Siemens logo. On the back page, the layer is enlarged by a few centimeters at the top to leave enoughspace for both your address and your logo.

Version BVersion B is to be used as a layout when the partner played a significant part in the advertised solution or the advertised offer. A white block appears in the top right corner of the cover page, giving you space to stamp or print your company logo. If possible, the width of your company logo should not exceed30 mm. The back page is designed based on Version A.

The Siemens Enterprise Communications partner emblem is a clear indication of expertiseto your customers. If you follow a few key rules for using the partner emblem, you willstrengthen customer confidence in both our companies while enhancing the effectivenessof your marketing communications.

Do not overuse the partner emblem – rarity has value. Our tip: Make sure that no more than one logo appears on a single page or a single spread.

Use our partner emblem appropriately. The Siemens Enterprise Communications partner emblem should be used where its appearance will enhance confidence in both our companies. Our tip: Our partner emblem is not a decorative element. It is only used used to identify a service.

Protect our partner emblem from bad company. Make sure that the image of our shared advertising on posters or exhibition stands is notimpaired by its proximity to neighboring images. You may want to limit its use if it wouldhave to share space with images that would detract from its value. Our tip: In principle, isolate our partner emblem as much as possible.

Present our partner emblem against the best background. Our partner emblem works best if it appears on a calm, neutral background rather than inthe middle of a kaleidoscope of colors. This will help produce more professional impressionand clearly set it apart from other logos. Our tip: Please refer to the "Your media" section for examples.

Do not weaken the effect of our partner emblem. Our partner emblem has been carefully designed for the most effective graphical and opticalbalance. Poor printing or or inaccurate color reproduction could make it appear noticeablydifferent and reduce its impact.Our tip: Always use only the original specifications.

Use the right size of our partner emblem – not simply the biggest possible. Our shared partner emblem conveys its message best by subtle persuasion. It should notseek to impress by size alone, and should therefore always appear in a size that feels normalto the viewer. If it seems to reflect self-confidence without bragging, then it is the right size.Our tip: If in doubt, opt for a more modest size.

The following regulations complement the existing sales and distributorship agreement andany addition to the sales and distributorship agreement.

Right to use Siemens’ name and logo and the Siemens Enterprise Communications partneremblem or tagline

Siemens Enterprise Communications grants the sales and distribution partner – subsequentlycharacterized as “partner” – a non-exclusive, non-transferable, and free-of-charge right touse Siemens’ name and logo and the partner emblem or tagline during the term of the salesand distribution contract for systems, products and solutions stipulated in such an agreement.Siemens’ name and logo and the partner emblem or the tagline must be applied accordingthe described regulations of this design guideline.The partner shall not represent, imply, or connote by using Siemens’ name and logo or thepartner emblem or the tagline that he sells any other systems, products or solutions ofSiemens which are not stipulated in the sales and distributorship agreement.The partner agrees to use Siemens’ name and logo and partner emblem or the tagline forlabeling of information media only in a way described in the sales agreement or in anadditional agreement to such a contract.

Quality controlSiemens Enterprise Communications and the partner agree that the goodwill representedby Siemens’ name and logo and by the partner emblem or the tagline can only be maintainedand improved if the applications and the branding meet a high standard of quality andcomply with the regulations of these design guidelines.The partner therefore acknowledges that Siemens Enterprise Communications shall be entitledto carry out inspections, tests and evaluations concerning the quality of applications andinformation media. Siemens Enterprise Communications may at reasonable intervals executeits right to inspect the applications and information media.If it is determined that applications and information media do not meet the required standardsof quality, Siemens Enterprise Communications shall notify partner in writing, giving fulldetails regarding the defects therein, and shall give partner the opportunity to correct suchdefects within 60 (sixty) days following the date of such notification.If the defects have not been corrected within such 60 (sixty) day period, Siemens EnterpriseCommunications shall have, at its discretion, the right to terminate the Sales and Distributor-ship Agreement without prior notice in full or with regard to the applications affected.

WarrantySiemens Enterprise Communications makes no warranty of any kind with respect to the partneremblem or the tagline.

Ownership of Siemens’ name and logo and partner emblem or taglinePartner acknowledges that sole ownership of Siemens’ name and logo and the partneremblem and the tagline is with Siemens Enterprise Communications.Partner agrees not to derive any rights against Siemens Enterprise Communications basedupon the use of Siemens’ name and logo or the partner emblem or the tagline.Partner agrees that these regulations does not give partner any right, title or interest inSiemens’ name and logo or the partner emblem or the tagline other than as described inthese general conditions and that the partner is not entitled to apply the partner emblemor the tagline or Siemens’ name and logo outside of the territory licensed in the sales anddistributorship agreement.Partner shall during the term of the sales agreement neither use any trademark which imitatesthe partner emblem or the tagline or appears confusingly similar to them nor apply forregistration of such trademarks.Partner agrees that partner shall not attack the validity of the partner emblem or the taglineor the title of Siemens Enterprise Communications to the partner emblem or the tagline norinitiate such attacks by third parties nor assist any third party in such attacks.

IndemnityPartner hereby agrees to indemnify and hold Siemens Enterprise Communications harmlessfrom any and all claims, suits, losses, damages, costs, expenses and liabilities arising out ofpartner’s sale or distribution of applications and information media bearing Siemens’ nameand logo or the partner emblem or the tagline.
