She was No. 2 on the team in batting average (.400), home runs (six) and RBIs (36) and will play at Quincy University. ICA 2A third- team all-state, first-team All- Sangamo Conference. Lakyn Wagoner Havana junior outfielder The athletic junior hit .496 with two home runs, 14 RBIs and an area-leading 43 stolen bases. Wagoner struck out nine times in 113 at-bats. ICA 2A second-team all-state, unani- mous All-Prairieland Conference. 2015 ALL-AREA SOFTBALL Julia O'Conner Williamsville senior first baseman O'Conner made All- Area for the second straight year as she swung a big bat for the Sangamo Conference champions. She batted a team- leading .432 with 12 home runs and 44 RBIs and struck out just 11 times in 125 plate appear- ances. Will play at St. Ambrose University. First-team All- Sangamo Conference. Kelsie Allen Pawnee senior infielder Third baseman Allen (below) was a force for the Indians, who earned their third straight 1A regional title. She bat- ted .476 with 18 doubles, eight triples, three home runs and 33 RBIs. She had a .526 on-base percentage. Will play at Lincoln Land Community College. ICA 1A third-team all-state, unanimous All-MSM Conference. Aileana Rawlins Beardstown senior infielder A standout three- sport athlete, shortstop Rawlins helped the Tigers to a 26-9 record and Prairieland Conference and 2A regional titles. She batted a team-high .474 with 30 RBIs, 55 hits and 15 stolen bases. Will attend SIU- Edwardsville, but is unsure about continuing to play. ICA 2A third- team all-state; unanimous All- Prairieland Conference. Kayla Thoron North Mac senior infielder Thoron led the Panthers in batting average (.511), home runs (seven), RBIs (29) and doubles (15). The shortstop also struck out just three times in 96 plate appearances. Will play at Missouri Baptist. ICA 2A third-team all-state, first-team All-Sangamo Conference. Ali Nowicki Petersburg PORTA junior outfielder Nowicki was solid at bat and in the field for the Bluejays. While com- mitting just one error, she batted .417 with 24 RBIs and 12 doubles, striking out seven times in 93 plate appearances. Already has committed to Heartland Community College. First-team All-Sangamo Conference. Kailey Talley Taylorville junior outfielder A three-year varsity starter in center field, Talley led the area in hits (60) and was third in batting average (.526). She helped lead the Tornadoes to third place in the Apollo Conference at 6-4. First-team All-Apollo Conference. Morgan Heckman Riverton senior designated hitter Heckman (below) was a much-needed leader for a young Riverton team, batting .530 with three home runs and 30 RBIs in addition to going 23- for-24 in stolen-base attempts. She played shortstop after catching the last three years and had a .986 fielding percentage. Will play at Lincoln Land. First- team All-Sangamo Conference. Lexi Law Litchfield junior utility player While shortstop was Law's main position, Litchfield coach Jen Bitter said the junior can play any position other than pitcher. Law's .468 batting aver- age included six doubles, seven triples and two home runs. She also stole 17 bases. ICA 2A sec- ond-team all-state, unanimous All-South Central Conference. Addison Bryant Gillespie sophomore pitcher At a school that's produced some exceptional pitchers, Bryant entered the con- versation after posting an area- high 243 strikeouts against 31 walks. She went 16-9 with a 1.58 earned run average, throwing a perfect game in a regional title win over North Mac. First-team All-South Central Conference. Olivia Carter Pleasant Plains sophomore pitcher Carter went 12-9 for a young Plains team and helped lead the Cardinals to a 2A regional championship. The sophomore struck out 144 and walked just 34 while posting a 2.10 ERA. First-team All- Sangamo Conference. Payton Sturdy Buffalo Tri-City sophomore pitcher Sturdy stepped into the Tornadoes' No. 1 pitching spot and responded with a 13-1 record and 2.00 ERA with 98 strikeouts against 14 walks in 74 innings. She also batted an area- leading .534 with 28 RBIs as Tri- City finished 27-4. First-team All- MSM Conference; ICA 2A third- team all-state. Hannah Tomasko North Mac sophomore pitcher Tomasko pitched the Panthers to a 19-8 finish as she went 17-6 with a 2.29 ERA. She racked up 230 strikeouts (No. 2 in the area) and walked 60 in 147 2/3 innings. Tomasko also helped her own cause with 19 RBIs. Second-team All-Sangamo Conference. Carter went 12-9for a young Plainsteam and helpedlead the Cardinals to a 2Aregional championship. Thesophomore struck out 144 andwalked just 34 while posting a2.10 ERA. First-team All-Sangamo Conference.

Sturdy stepped intothe Tornadoes' No. 1 pitchingspot and responded with a 13-1record and 2.00 ERA with 98strikeouts against 14 walks in 74innings. She also batted an area-leading .534 with 28 RBIs as Tri-City finished 27-4. First-team All-MSM Conference; ICA 2A third-team all-state.
