IntroductionFirst off lets ask ourselves, what is a video game? A video game is a game played by electronically manipulating images produced by a computer program, a television screen, or any other display screen. Video games have been around for more than 50 years, and since then video games have been improving from two people playing tennis to first person shooter, MMORPG, Moba, sandbox, and the list goes on.

There has been many debates on over what was the first video game so no one really can say which one it was. Even though no one really knows there are some really old video games out there from the late 50’s. Tennis for two, This game was basically two people playing tennis on a 2D screen. Until about the 80’s video games were basically black and white and very basic, such as chess, tic tac toe, and table tennis.

MMORPGMMORPG stands for Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game. In MMORPG games you usually have a feature called character customization. This feature allows the player to make their character however they want. Lots of MMORPG’s are about wizards, knights, warlocks, lots of mythical creatures. In MMORPG’s such as World of Warcraft, Tera, and many more, the point of the game is to level up and get good items by doing quests so you can win battles against other players and show off your skills.

Moba GamesMoba stands for Multiplayer Online Battle Arena. In Moba games there are usually 2 teams that fight against each other. League of Legends, Dota 2, and Smite are examples of Moba games. Every Moba is different but alike in a lot of ways. For example in League of Legends there are over 100 different characters to play as, all having unique play styles. The Moba arenas usually have 3 lanes and a jungle in between the top, middle, and bottom lanes. In League of Legends the middle lane is supposed to be a champion (character) that has low defences stats but extremely high offence stats. In the top lane there can be either a champion with high defence but low offence or bruiser which means in between offence and defence. In the bottom lane there are 2 people, a ranged attack damage carry such as someone who uses a bow or a gun. They have really high offence and extremely low defence. The other is a support champion. This role is very important for the adc (attack damage carry), supports can be either tanky or squishy (high defence or low defence) Their job is to help their adc get kills in their lane. The support champion usually has shields, healing abilities, buffs, crowd control such as a stun, slow, snare, etc. If the adc has a lot of kills at the end of the game then your support has done their job correctly.
