This is the idea that spurred development of Polaron by the international award-winning firm Sieger Design for German lighting manufacturer Trilux.

With Polaron, the continuing refinement of light and source emerges in a system that offers optimum visual comfort while artfully supplementing design-oriented architecture. Inspired by the magnificent combination of room and light in the Roman Pantheon, its circular body shapes the emitted light, illuminating in all directions.

With its characteristic lighting effect and demure appearance, this translucent luminaire distributes light gently, softly, without glare. Freeing the weightlessness of light from the heaviness of form, Polaron joins the architectural dialogue with graceful restraint.

Even when switched off, Polaron blends in stylishly, providing a subtle and pure design element.
