Barrel Check that all bolts and other mechanical fixings are glued in

place with loctite (a removable rad-

    hard adhesive)

    Not done

Verify that no loose objects are

    inside the barrel/service cages.

    Done

secured and all screws are tight

inside the earthing ring. Check thatno loose DCS sensor cables are

    hanging out of their slots.

DCS Check all temperature sensors for

swaps. If a swap is found the

sensors should be swapped in the

JST connector on the service cages.

    No swaps on B6

Secure all screws on the cooling

    temperature sensor clips with

Loctite. Make sure that the wires to

    these sensors cannot touch any

    modules. Glue down if necessary.

    Not done

    Publish calibrations for all sensors

    on barrel on the web.

FSI Before shipping check that no FSI

ribbon has been damaged on the

    spools during the assembly.

One fibre ribbon damaged at RAL

Cooling Close of all cooling loops at theend with Metrulok blanking pieces.Should we leave capillaries on?

    Done. Capillaries left in place

Modules All modules have been electrically

tested (incl. HV). Test results arepublicly accessible.

    boxes.

Install the ShockLogChange both batteries and only install at

the last moment. It has a 10-day life.

Once ShockLog is in place, avoid

knocks and bangs around the barrel (e.g.floor).

    Done

Install roof panels first.Someone holds a gloved hand below each

corner piece when screw is inserted and

    tightened in the upper part.

    Done

Make sure that all ground straps are

    properly connected.

Removed bottom straps to enable insertion into outer box

    Secure brass inserts in corner

pieces with tape so that they cannot

    fall into the container.

    Secured with glue

    Carry out final visual inspection

before service cage ends are closed.

    Done

Mark one end of inner box with a

    sign indicating Z (gearbox) end.

Not done. Gearbox end is coming out last out of outer container.

    Wrap inner box Done

After installing inner box in outer,

check that inner box rails are fixed

into outer box saddles. (Screwsshould be M6 or bigger).

    Done

Take care with installation of the

outer box panels. These were a

difficult fit on B3 and one mustavoid shocks to the barrel.
