WHO IS THE WORKSHOP FOR? The offer is open to all violin, viola, cello and bass students who fit the grade category; however we would be happy to accommodate anyone who is above grade 6, and under the age of 15, on the 25th
who would like to play. There may also be an opportunity to try the double bass.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING? Your instrument and a snack. You may also like to bring a little money for refreshments on sale during the break.
HOW DO I REGISTER FOR THE WORKSHOP? Seek prior permission from your Headteacher to attend, then complete the registration form, and send to the address on the adjoining page form by the date shown.
You will receive confirmation on receipt of your application which you will
need to show to your child’s school as evidence of an educational experience day
These workshops are aimed at Junior and Intermediate string players. The days will consist of workshops on 3 pieces from
around the world and some creative introductory work. There will be a play-through at 6pm on each day in the Performance
Hall at the Centre for Music to which parents/carers and families are invited.
THE CHARGE FOR THIS WORKSHOP IS £8 PER STUDENT
Monday 22 May 1pm-6pm: Junior For string players of preliminary to grade 2 standard
Thursday 25 May 1pm-6pm: Intermediate For string players of grade 3 – 6 standard
