Founded in France in 1985, Oxbow was born from the meeting of boardsports fanatic Fabrice Valéri and fashion stylist Isabelle Cachot.

The brand was developed alongside iconic athletes, like Laird Hamilton, pioneer of tow-in surfing, kitesurf, foilsurfing or more recently stand-up paddle surfing. From the beginning of the brand, Oxbow has never stopped exploring new territories and following riders on their craziest projects.

Thanks to their close contact with these athletes, who cover all disciplines (surf, snow, kite, freestyle skiing or windsurfing), from the very beginning Oxbow has created products that combine quality, technicality and creativity.

Oxbow gives riders the chance to live their passion for boardsports, without restraints while always respecting their playground, Nature. This is Oxbow’s raison d’être, because nature will always be stronger than humanity.

Créée en France en 1985, Oxbow est née de la rencontre entre un passionné des boardsports, Fabrice Valéri et une styliste de mode, Isabelle Cachot.

La marque s’est développée au contact des plus grands athlètes, à l’image de Laird Hamilton, pionnier du surf tracté, du kitesurf, du foilsurfing ou plus récemment du stand up paddle. Depuis sa création, Oxbow n’a eu de cesse d’explorer de nouveaux territoires, accompagnant les riders dans leurs projets les plus fous.

C’est au contact de ces sportifs, évoluant dans toutes les disciplines (surf, snowboard, Kitesurf, ski freestyle ou encore windsurf) qu’Oxbow élabore depuis ses débuts des produits alliant qualité, technicité et créativité.

Rien ne compte plus pour eux que leur capacité à se réinventer sans cesse.Cette ligne dédiée à des pratiquants core sera distribuée en exclusivité dans des réseaux spécialisés.

Keeping riders radical...A product line that addresses boardsports through the prism of its followers: pregressive and creative riders who develop freely to turn the elements into a playing field. It is a range designed for riders who do not hesitate to rock the boat, or ruffle some feathers in order to express their own point of view with an authentic twist. For them, nothing is more important than radi-cal progression and continual reinvention. This line, dedicated to hardcore devotees, will be distributed exclusively in specialized stores.

Oxbow switch’s winter 2012 collection will be inspired by minimalism and optical art.

The casualwear collection will offer slick and functionnal designs and mix different textured fabrics. Key products are the «balaclava sweater» and reversible shirts and sweats.Snow garments are made with dry edge laminated fabric and contrasted water-repellent zippers. Styles are customizable: 2 in 1 jackets (3 half-jackets), backcountry parka and adaptable «knicker pants»...The color range combines and contrasts black, white, blue, fushia, and heather grey.

Optical effects are demonstrated through yarn-dyed checks, checkerboard all over print and placed artworks...

La collection Oxbow Switch hiver 2012 s’inspire de l’art minimaliste et de l’art optique.

La collection casual offre des designs épurés et fonctionnels et mélange subtilement différentes textures de matières. Pull à capuche ergonomique, le sweat et la chemise reversibles seront les produits phares de la saison !La collection snow propose des silhouettes avec zips déperlants contrastés et matière laminée DRY EDGE : on trouvera la veste 2 en 1, une parka backcountry et un pantalon transformable...

La gamme couleurs s’articule autour de contrastes forts avec Black / White, Blue, Fushia, et Heather Grey.

Les effets d’optique se matérialisent à travers un carreau tissé-teint, un damier mouvant, et une série d’artworks.
