Overview of Indian Expeditions. Seventy five Indian expeditions were organized by various clubs and associations within the country. In addition there were three expeditions organized by the Indian Mountaineering Foundation, bringing the total to a healthy 78. However, out of these more than 50 teams went to routine peaks and attempted them by very frequented standard routes. These included Jogin III, Bhagirathi II, Kalanag, Hanuman Tibba, Kedar Dome, Man- ali, and Thelu. In addition there were three expeditions each to the increasingly popular peaks (for Indians) of Chhamser and Lungser Kangri, Satopanth, and Shri Kailash, all by their Nor- mal Routes.
