BITS has provided the highest quality technicaleducation to students from all over Indiaadmitted solely on the basis of merit.

LOCATION Nested in a terrain that boasts of diverse

landscapes, from the verdant hills to thebalmy beaches, BITS Pilani, Goa campus isset in a perfect ambience of beauty.

It is spread over 188 acres, and overlooking

the river Zuari, its panoramic viewencompasses hillocks, forests and foliage.

It is a mere 4km from the airport, and issituated off the National Highway 17,making transportation hassle free.

HISTORY The Goa campus, was commissioned in the

August of 2004, as a Sister Campus to BITSPilani, Pilani.

It was inaugurated by our HonourablePrime Minister, Shri Manmohan Singh.

BITS Pilani - Goa campus is home to 2400students and 300 staff members.

Dedicated to the BITS aim of providingquality education to the future of thecountry.

BITS is a Deemed University and offers

more than 35 different programs oncampus.

FACILITIES The infrastructure the campus prides itself

upon, is indeed avant-garde.

Largest Auditorium:A 2200 seatingcapacity air-conditioned auditorium issituated right in the heart of the institutebuilding. The auditorium has high-performance surround sound systems, 70mmprojection screen, boasts of 3 set of balconiesto accommodate special guests and facultymembers during popular events andfestivals.

The Practice School (PS) system of education

is an effort to establish institutionalizedlinkages between the industrial world andthe academic world.

FACILITIES (continued) Spacious Labs, State of art classrooms withsoundproof acoustics, computer labs with Internetfacility and a huge Library define the infrastructuralcounters of the institution.

The Lecture Theaters, each with a seating capacity

of 400, are well-designed with multimediaprojection facilities and excellent sound systems.

It being a fully residential school; all hostels areprovided with single room accommodation for bothboys and girls.

Spree-Pure Sport 10 the National level Sports Festival of BITS,Pilani- Goa Campus which is scheduled to take place from the 4thto 7th of April 2010. Last years version, Spree09, held in

association with Salgaoncar Sports Club and the Sports Authorityof Goa, proved to be an exciting sports festival where a total of over450 young players vied for medals in this sports extravaganza. Thefestival showcased 9 major sports. Apart from these conventionalevents Spree also featured the recently popular Futsal matchesrunning parallel to traditional Indian sporting events like kabaddi

and kho-kho. The very popular Spree Marathon was held inassociation with - HelpAge India, an NGO organization whichgenerated a huge amount of money for charity. Mallakhamb andKalaripayattu were the major attractions during nights. A plethoraof workshops were organized, ranging from CPR to Cardio-kickboxing. These also saw huge participation.
